Comments about NRS Boaters Gloves - Unisex:
I bought these gloves for warm season paddling and they are great. I have no problem with the cinch down, and wouldn't necessarily consider it a design flaw. Great gloves, comfortable.

Comments about NRS Boaters Gloves - Unisex:
The cinch-down on these gloves is a terrible design. You need to feed the “hook” portion of a Velcro strap through a rectangular ring. The rectangular ring is attached to the glove with the “fuzzy’ portion of Velcro. Duh!!! Guess what gets stuck to the glove while trying to get the strap through the ring. Stupid design. The gloves are fine but the cinch down gets a Failing grade. I am surprised that NRS would design a glove that is so cumbersome to cinch down.

Comments about NRS Boaters Gloves - Unisex:
I used to get blisters and tender spots when kayaking. These gloves solved that problem and they are just the right thickness for me. Never had any problem with the velcro / metal wrist closure strap. They work great for me and just bought another pair as a back up and loaner for my family and friends.

Comments about NRS Boaters Gloves - Unisex:
I have had two pairs of these gloves over the years and they are just fine. The only thing i don't like is that the stitching came out of my first pair after just one season. I sent them back to NRS and they sent me a new pair free. This pair has lasted three years. The seams are starting to come undone again but I use them about 20 days a year in salt water so i am not surprised. As for the problems others have with the straps, I do know what they are talking about. But it takes just a second to put the strap through that's all. And it's something that once you know what to do, you can do it easily.

Comments about NRS Boaters Gloves - Unisex:
Not going to get gloves with a metal clasp anymore. The construction makes it so that either the clasp or the velcro digs into your wrist a bit. Every time I take them off, there are marks around my wrist, even if I fasten them loosely. I like that the fingers are tight, but unfortunately the thumb and palms have extra material.
If you're not very dexterous, the strap can be difficult to thread through the metal ring. In short, you have to thread a strap with scratchy velcro through a ring that is held on by soft velcro, so it sometimes gets caught and doesn't want to go through. It's not as much of a problem as the comfort problem though.
