Comments about SmartWool Cross Walk Socks:
Have worn a dozen of these black socks for 10+ years, to the office and to work out in. Versatile! The only classic socks I've found that truly wick dry the perspiration of someone who perspires too much, while not being too hot. Highly durable and comfortable. And they also withstand the hazards of walking around home daily in stocking feet. I swear by them.

Comments about SmartWool Cross Walk Socks:
I found these on sale once and bought several pairs. Now I wish I bought a few more so I could wear them every single day. These are great for every day use or travel. I'm sad when I run out of clean ones and have to wear anything else. They have an uncanny ability to not smell bad, and they stay comfortable even after a days wear, so I've on occasion worn these for several days without any problems.

Comments about SmartWool Cross Walk Socks:
I have been a user of SmartWool products for many years. I own their performance long underwear (tops and bottoms), performance t-shirts, hiking socks, and causual socks. However, I recently have noticed a big drop in the quality of their everyday usage garments. I recently purchased several SmartWool products and noticed flaws in 1 pair of Cross Walk Socks, 2 pairs of Adventurer socks, and the 1 V-neck sweater. In each case, I noticed flaws with the weaving that either appeared as a thinning in certain areas of the fabric or explosed holes in the garment. I returned or exchanged each of the articles that were flawed. I never had a problem with any of the returns. However, how many times does a person have to find flaws in a product before they question the manufacturers quality. As a former customer who was very loyal to SmartWool products, I am very disappointed with the drop in quality and workmanship. Further, I am extremely disappointed that SmartWool lacked the quality control to catch these flaws. I can understand an occasional flaw but not the number problems that I experienced.
I have spoke to other people who have reported the same drop in quality in SmartWool products. I wonder if this is a result of moving their manufacturing to alternate facilities in another country? As a consumer, I plan on reporting this to SmartWool and hit them where it hurts the most by no longer purchasing their products.
I am very disapointed because I used to really like their products. I just hope that the same drop in quality is not being reported in their hiking socks and performance attire. I have not experienced a problem with those products but hesitate to even consider purchasing replacement for my current ones when they eventually wear out. I've heard similiar stories about their competitor, IceBreaker having a drop in quality after moving manufacturing facilities to China.
Has anyone else experienced thes same as me?

Comments about SmartWool Cross Walk Socks:
I have many pairs of various Smartwool socks and I love them--most of them. These socks are of an obviously lower level of quality. The material quality is not what you'd expect from Smartwool, nor is the design. They are very itchy and scratchy and when I've perspired they've even begun to cause a rash on my ankles. They also lack the nice cushion and comfort of other Smartwool socks. I've relegated them to last resort in my sock drawer.

Comments about SmartWool Cross Walk Socks:
My first 15 pair of these socks lasted 6 years through daily military wear. My current 14 pair already are wearing out after only 1.5 years. The company must have sold out since the wool is not as fluffy, the sock construction is weaker with lesser quality of materials (my first 15 pair were comfortable even after the wool had fallen off the mesh base). I can no longer recommend Smartwool products.

Comments about SmartWool Cross Walk Socks:
These socks will keep your feet nice and dry.
They are comfy enough for me, while not being too thick. I wore them all day while wading/fishing, hiking in the rain, and moving furniture inside a pair of hiking boots, and my feet were nice and dry with no clammy feeling.
If you have hot feet, don't waste your time with the synthetics, these are the socks that you want.

Comments about SmartWool Cross Walk Socks:
I have three pair of these and they have worn through in the heel and under the ball of my foot.
They were comfortable and did what wool socks are supposed to but they are less than a year old and I can't use them because they are worn out.
Not a good value.

Comments about SmartWool Cross Walk Socks:
These are the best wool socks I have had so far. I wear them for casual dress and walking. They look nice with dockers(oatmeal color). They keep my feet warmer than cotton and they are not bulky or itchy like some wool socks. I have a tendency to wear them without shoes a lot around the house and they wear well. I had a hand injury a found that these socks are easy to put on, but don't stretch out of shape. I am a size 12 shoe but the 11.5 size sock is just right.

Comments about SmartWool Cross Walk Socks:
Washed in cold water and spun dry but they shrunk badly. They do not wear well after six months they already look worn. These socks are overpriced.

Comments about SmartWool Cross Walk Socks:
All Smartwool scoks I have bought tend to shrink so much that they look like babies socks after a few washes. Also, little blobs of wool get collected all over making these socks very embarassing to wear. Also you have to really try hard towear these because they have shrunk so much. These socks are over priced, over hyped and abosultely abysmall when it comes to long lasting.
One brand I know that works amazingly when is Thorlos. I have worn these every week atleast two days and finally they have worn out after 2 years!!
