    I've had mine for several years and it is still in good condition. It works like a charm. On my last trip I did not have my sleeping pad with me, but I took the chair anyway. It worked great even without the pad, a little akward a first but no problems after that. It is more comforatable with the pad, but that is to be expected.
    I would not take this on an extended hiking trip as it is made for the larger sleeping pads. However, if you want to take a large pad on a long trip, then this won't add too much weight. Will easily attach to just about anywhere on your pack. Just be creative with how you roll it and use the buckles.

      Ive taken my Thermarest chair on 7 backpacking trips, 20 car camping ones and bring it to anywhere I need a seat. Very good product. The Only thing is that if I were to buy a new one I'd get the Lounge chair model. It looks evn more comfy.

        Must have the chair sleeve to go with the sleeping pad and use as a very comfortable camp or trail seat. Works well as a canoe seat too. No need to remove chair sleeve when using as a sleeping pad in the tent. Superlight and fully adjustable.
