Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad - Women's Regular:
After trying 11 different backpacking pads, this is the most comfortable. I could not get used to the balloon mats though they were 3.5” thick. They still felt hard because of surface tension (even blown up half full). My family has been using the Woman Prolite 4 pad for 2 years now. We sort of fight over it. Of course mom wins :). But when I’m backpacking w/o the family, I get it :). Initially, I could not get it back in the bag. Now I lay on it until no more air sound. Then I fold, kneel and roll, twist the valve close. Then it fits in the bag rather easily.
I store it unfolded and unrolled w/ the valve open in a humidity-controlled cool room.
The only time I blew it up is when I couldn’t wait for 5 minutes. If you let it self inflate, it is a little soft--- which I like; it fills every nook and cranny of my back. Ooohh, augh… My wife likes a few more puffs of air to harden it.
I think it is more comfortable than the regular Prolite 4; it has more cushioning in the torso area.
Other reviewers didn’t like the slipperiness of it. I’ve fixed this by putting a small piece of “rug grip” under it. The ‘grip’ is multi use; which I won’t go into here.
When you have a lightweight comfortable product that is guaranteed for life, expect to pay a little more. I just wish they made a 3/4 version for even lighter weight comfort.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad - Women's Regular:
I LOVED this pad the first two times I used it - had a bigger/bulkier REI brand pad and traded it in for this so my pad would actually fit in my pack. The first two uses I got out of it were great - super comfortable, great insulation from the ground, very easy to inflate. Then I stored it over the off-season and on my last trip it just wouldn't inflate. No leaks, the spring had just gone out of all the foam - it was sleeping on a sheet of cardboard even after I manually inflated it myself - cold and hard. Ideally, all sleeping pads should be stored inflated, but for an apartment dweller this isn't practical - all of my previous sleeping pads did just fine being stored delfated - this is the only pad with which I've had this problem. Small pack size is great but not at the expense of function - [...]

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad - Women's Regular:
Love this sleeping pad and bring it with me whenever I go camping, weather car or backpacking. It provides great insulation from the cold ground and smooths out any rough patches and rocks that would otherwise jab into your back. It's very lightweight. Sometimes a bit of a challenge to roll up, but I suspect that's true of any sleeping pad. Definitely recommend it to everyone I know.
Only reason I went with 4/5 instead of 5/5 stars is because of its higher price tag compared to other sleeping pads (although worth it in my opinion).

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad - Women's Regular:
I bought this for a 4-day backpacking trip on Catalina Island. I bought it for it's light weight, so I didn't have really high expectations comfort-wise. Well I was shocked, because this pad was really, really comfortable! I slept great all 3 nights. My husband used the REI Lite Core pad--basically the same pad. We found that the valve on the Thermarest works better than the one on the REI version. The Thermarest is more expensive though, and it doesn't come with the stuff sack. I got this on sale, however, and I would highly recommend it if you get it when it's on sale. If you can't, then the REI Lite-Core might be a better choice, but either way, you really can't go wrong.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad - Women's Regular:
I'm a big fan of this item, I went through two others before I found one I really liked. Two minor things...it is a little bulky to roll-up and I usually have some difficulty getting the inflation started.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad - Women's Regular:
I was sleeping on an old foam pad, but once I purchased the Therma rest prolite 4 I wondered why I had waited so long. this pad is very comfortable, light and easy to pack. It inflates to almost complete fullness, I only have to add a few breaths of my own. I am 5'4" and the length is perfect. Make sure to read the instructions on care and storage, I really believe it helps with the overall inflation process.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad - Women's Regular:
I bought this sleeping pad for a 3 week mountaineering trip through the Patagonia range. This sleeping pad lasted the entire time through dozens of packing and unpacking. During the daily trek, the pad was in its stuff sack inside my backpack and even after 3 weeks of daily use and travel the pad didn't get punctured. I slept like a baby every night...I can't imagine being more comfortable while camping.
The only downside to the pad is that the self inflation wore off slightly with each use. However, I found that blowing in some air myself after a few minutes help and the pad never leaked air. I also bought the chair kit and it was easy to setup and comfortable to sit in. I can't imagine an inflatable sleeping pad being more lightweight and durable as the one I have now and I have no desire to find a replacement as of now.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad - Women's Regular:
I'm hardly an expert as this was my first pad every purchased and just returned from my first backcountry backpacking trip in Alaska. But this pad worked well. I ended up inflating it myself instead of waiting because I was in a hurry to set up camp. However, it does inflate on its own if you are patient enough.
I didn't experience any of the problems other reviews are mentioning. I didn't feel the ground although I was sleeping on some rocky terrain. It was long enough for me although I'm only 5'3". And it was plenty of padding for me when I used the conversion chair kit and turn my pad into a chair. Quite comfortable!

I got this for my first backpacking trip EVER, and it was VERY uncomfortable! I was not able to fall asleep that night, and when I got back from my second backpacking trip, I found a small leak in it. Also, It is wicked hard to deflate and get into the stuff sack.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad - Women's Regular:
I bought this for a backpacking trip last summer. The backpacking trip was cancelled and the only use it got was staying on a friend's floor for one night. No rocks and even fully inflated you can feel the ground! If your under 120# it may be a better matt for you. Otherwise, go for an air matt that's 2.5" thick.
