Comments about Therm-a-Rest DreamTime Sleeping Pad - Large:
We typically go ultra-lightweight backpacking but more recently have been car camping while still using our back packing gear. Not good enough, I recently complained to my husband. We needed more comfort. So we splurged on these ultra-expensive, yet comfortable pads as well as a larger tent. WOW! Why did we wait so long? I love these pads. I love sleeping through the night. No more tossing and turning. We just returned from 10 nights on the road, car camping. Loved it and can't wait to go again. The Dream Time pads are comparable in comfort to our home bed system which is firm support. I think the Dream Time is a well thought out camping choice. The attached coupling straps work great with no need to buy a coupler. Next trip I would bring a queen fitted sheet to cover both pads for even more freedom. My husband is 6'2" and loved the roominess.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest DreamTime Sleeping Pad - Large:
Ok folks, there's good news and not so good news. The good news is that this is the most comfortable self inflating mattress you can buy. Also, you probably don't need the XL size unless you're really a big'un. I'm an average size male, 5' 10' and 185 pounds. Just so you know what you are getting, this appears to be a base camp XL with a separate 1" open cell foam pad on top zipped into a nice cover with ripstop bottom and plush top to hold your bag. The obvious bad news is, is it worth the extra money over the base camp for the foam and cover? I would probably do it again, it is comfortable.

this is not something for a backpacking trip, but if you are camping out of a car or off a Llama it's tough to beat. Might require a second mortgage, but you should sleep well.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest DreamTime Sleeping Pad - Large:
Well, I'm usually a minimalist and compared to a 5 star hotel this is minimalist. I like the way it rolls up with it's own straps and I'm thinking about getting the tech or ventra blanket to go with it.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest DreamTime Sleeping Pad - Large:
This inflatable mattress is absolutely the bomb! I hesitated to pay so much $$$ for a sleeping pad, but now that I'm over 40, I need a good night's sleep. This product is worth the money. Very comfy. The only disadvantage is that it is *really* bulky, so it's strictly for car camping.
