The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about OnGuard Doberman Combo Bike Lock - 12mm:
Although it is easy to use and carry, don't trust your bike to this lock if you live in an urban area where bike thefts are common. The thief cut through this cable with a bolt cutters (I'm guessing) and took off with my vintage high-end Cannondale. Use a U-lock!!!

I have been carrying this on my bike most of the time and it has been useful to lock it up when I need to get away from the area my bike is in.

Comments about OnGuard Doberman Combo Bike Lock - 12mm:
I had to replace an OnGuard U-lock (also garbage due to cheap keys) with this because it was the only option at my local shop that wasn't an Onguard U-lock. The next day my bike was stolen from a public place in broad daylight. Don't buy this company's products.

Comments about OnGuard Doberman Combo Bike Lock - 12mm:
I always lose the keys to my bike locks, so I was quite happy with the combination lock choice. It worked just great on my commutes to work in downtown Minneapolis. Right until the lock was cut and my favorite 25 year old Schwinn was taken (along with my helmet, custom seat and permanently attached pannier).
The lock should be fine if you are just doing quick jaunts in extremely low crime areas (but where is that anymore? Bike thefts in the Twin Cities are at an all time high). Or you are trail riding and can lock the bike to a tree.
I switched back to a u-lock. A heavy, heavy u-lock. I still miss the old bike.....

Don't trust this lock to keep your bike secure. I found my cable cut and my bike missing. I learned the hard way and will now upgrade to a U-lock that isn't made by OnGuard.

Had a $1300 bike stolen in no time flat. Look and it was there, looked again and it was gone.

My bike was stolen while it was locked to a bike rack using this lock. Don't buy it, it's a piece of junk. They just cut right through the cable.

Comments about OnGuard Doberman Combo Bike Lock - 12mm:
These 4 dial combination cable locks are very convenient for the bike owner but they are easily defeated by saavy thieves. Aside from the fact that the cable is vulnerable to cutters, the lock mechanism is easy to overcome, too. I won't tell you exactly how but it doesn't require any tools.I have a cable lock exactly like this one and I do use it but only in daylight in small towns where many other cyclists don't bother to lock up at all. In my opinion, you need a NY chain, a bulletproof padlock plus a good quality U-lock in higher risk areas.
