The wool feels great, kinda tingly, energizing. Good support if you size down. Best pad even compared to Assos, Giordana, PI. Warm even when wet, and the wind-proof front is really wind proof. Seat area very durable.

Used these amazing knickers in weather ranging from 20° to 60°, in snow, wind, or rain, my legs were always just right. I traveled up to Canada and did some snow riding: even as the snow would melt on my legs I never felt cold nor welt. Additionally, I regularly ride in the rain and my legs don't feel wet and the fabric is never soggy.

The end of the legs (the part that is kinda stretchy) sometimes slides up, but I am very tall (6' 4") and have to wear a medium for proper wast size.

I was surprised to find how comfortable and breathable these tights were. I have looked at a few different high brands, but none were this comfortable after just 5 minutes of wearing them. Blocks 95% of the wind. I really like the 3/4 length, makes it flexible for winter or spring. Gotta love wool.

I am 5'10 and weigh 155. Skinny but now with a small tummy, I found that medium was a tad too big in the seat and calf. Switched to small and it is perfect fit. Waist is quite snug, but overall comfortable in all spots.

These have the most comfortable chamois I've ever tried, fit great and do a great job of temperature regulation. I just raced a 12 hour mountain bike race and wore these the entire race- starting temps in the 30's, through the warm afternoon and into the night when the temp went back down into the 30's. The Ibex El Fito's were warm when they needed to be and breathed well when it was warm.

I would have given these 5 stars. Unfortunately, the stitching at the gasket, designed to keep the legs down around your calf, has already come loose after three rides (and I'm obsessively kind to my gear). I know someone with a sewing machine who can fix it (I hope) because I hate returning stuff.

Otherwise, these are very comfortable and warm -- maybe i just got a bad one.

So far, I've had no complaints about REI ... I buy most of my online gear from them and will continue to do so.

I am a fairly new cyclist and was only able to get my workout in fair weather. I had been researching what type of gear to buy, and being an avid backpacker, I know the great properties of wool. When I saw these on the REI website, I went down to try them on. I fell in love with them right away.

My wife gave them to me as a gift for Christmas, and I have been able to wear them every day for the past week in our chilly 30 - 45 degree Northern California mornings. They have been everything the other reviewers said they were. They are great against the wind, damp weather, and when I get hot, the wool breathes so I can cool down. It's magical! You gotta love wool!!

The padding in the seat is far superior to the biking shorts I have worn for the past year, ( I won't even bother mentioning that brand ) and I feel energized when I get back from a long ride.

These are great!!!!!

i love these. They are comfortable and warm. I have worn them in 34 deg in a downpour. I have ridden about 500 miles in them with no signs of wear. The padding is comfortable. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the chamois fits too far back. They are comfortable but the bulk of the padding is halfway up my butt where it does no good.
All in all they are a good buy.
