I was a little put off by the price and material but I needed a new windbreaker on short notice. After owning this for almost a year, I've grown more and more fond of it. The jacket folds and rolls up fairly compactly, so I end up carrying it places I would have left behind a more typical nylon, lined windbreaker. However, the most amazing feature is how quickly this jacket dries off. On a recent camping weekend, no one else's jacket was dry in even 4-5x the time it took mine to dry completely. This isn't a super-warm jacket, so don't expect a parka, but as a windbreaker it's near-perfect. I'm comfortable in short sleeves under it in fairly cold rains.

Needed a rain jacket to ride motorcycle in rain. This one fits great over my leather riding jacket and is completely waterproof without being bulky. It's a no-nonsense rain jacket. Crashed in it once on a rainy day and though it's got ugly grimy stains as a result, it's still in one,still waterproof piece. It's not insulated,so it's too cold to wear alone, but pair it with a comfortable jacket or long-sleeve shirt/tee underneath and you'll be very happy.

I've lived in Seattle my whole life and this was the first rain jacket I bought. It is very waterproof. The material feels cool and durable. I took it on a pct hike, probably not a good idea. It is a bit bulky and not breathable. Didn't really know what breathability was at the time, but now I know! It did keep me dry through a solid week of snow however. I use it around town a lot, but probably won't be taking it camping anymore. It is great for Sounders games!

I have had this jacket for almost three years now. It is exceptionally durable and still looks brand new. I use it many times as a casual windbreaker type jacket even when it doesn't rain. It even goes well with my business casual dress requirements when necessary. If it is getting on the warm side, it doesn't breathe well, so keep that in mind if you are a sweaty guy like me. I also wish it had some interior pockets, but that is really a nit. But this is an excellent and affordable choice without spending MUCH more on the REI eVent products.

This product is poorly made, the collar is nothing but very thin vinyl which is tearing everywhere! When I took it out of the closet the entire surface was all sticky! Have to throw in the garbage, complete waste of money!

I purchased this jacket because it was raining when I came to the store to pick up my kayak. I wore it while me and the REI guy attached my Yakima roof rack. My major issue with it is my wife loves it and wants to wear it every time it rains, as if I don't need to stay dry and warm. Well today, I have solved both my problem and hers by ordering her one of her own in the Women's Allure color, mine is yellow. [*].
