        I bought these rain pants to protect me from splash and rain on a cold river rafting trip. The tall size is a huge plus for covering the subject. No wet pants cuffs or socks! I found these rain pants extremely packable, necessity when flying in small planes to remote locations, and durable, for scrambling around on river rocks for fishing access, and comfortable (as possible for the situation) for sitting in a wet boat in the rain and wind.

          Finally, pants long enough for my 5'11" frame! Versatile and great for snow fun, hiking in the rain, and even sailing. I'm a beginning skier and these work perfectly over inner layers for conquering small hills and general goofing off. Getting ready to order a second pair.

            Finally, rain pants that are long enough that they don't funnel water into the tops of your boots, yet are not so capacious that they cover your pack as well as you bum. Ankle zips allow pulling them on over your boots when that sudden rain storm hits.
