Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Women's:
I would love to rate these pants higher, but I just can't. The inside material is odd. If you wear them in hot, humid, sticky conditions they will stick to you. And if you kneel down quickly...well...the escaping air makes an "odd" sound. They are lightweight and they do fend off the water. I like having pockets in the front. And they fit very nicely. They also layer well for cold weather wear.
Just beware the humid conditions.
Side zippers for venting could help, or a light mesh lining.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Women's:
These are so small and light I can just throw them in my pack and I like how the zip is just big enough to put them on over hiking boots (but sometimes the inside of the pants gets muddy...)

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Women's:
The pants worked great when doing low-impact hiking, especially in downpours. I used them for 6 straight days while hiking the Appalachain Trail. The only problem that I had was when I was doing high-impact hiking and my body was generating a lot of heat - the sweat would remain inside the pants - but they dried VERY quickly which was a plus - especially in very humid weather.

Comments about REI Ultra Light Pants - Women's:
I wear these rain pants for everything - dog walking, hiking/camping, watching soccer and football, trail maintenance and snowshoeing. They are comfortable and fully waterproof. Cut is generous enough for multiple layers in cold weather. No binding or pulling.
