Comments about The North Face Geosphere Jacket - Men's:
Bought this jacket for the price. Couldn't afford to drop a hundred bucks on an occasional use garment. So I picked it up on sale. Used it a handful of times camping or on cold trips, but mostly around town. Take it on ATV rides on back mountain roads with temps in the mid-forties doing about twenty five and the jacket does a superb job stopping the wind. Does get a bit stuffy just walking around though, and probably could use some pit zips, but overall I'm content with it and would buy it again. Im 6'3 and 230 lbs so its tough to find decent gear that fits for decent prices. I gambled, and in my opinion, won.

Comments about The North Face Geosphere Jacket - Men's:
Just picked this up and hiked Pikes Peak with it in my pack. It was great at the summit when the temp was about 40 with 20-30 MPH winds. On my way down I was happy to have it when it began to rain. It breaths ok, it is hard to find anything that breaths well when you’re doing strenuous activity in the rain. But you cannot beat the price and quality.

Comments about The North Face Geosphere Jacket - Men's:
I've had this jacket for over a year and it has quickly become one of my favorites. I use for backpacking, camping, walks around the neighborhood, and getting from my car to work without getting soaked. It packs down small, and is lightweight. Great for wet weather and wind. Need to layer for cold. Breathes well enough for mild to moderate activity. Would be a benefit if it had pit zips. The mesh lining (a plus I was looking for in a jacket) keeps the claminess down. The chest and hand pockets are just mesh lined so you can vent a little by keeping them open. I'm glad I made this purchase. If you buy it I think you'll like it too.

Comments about The North Face Geosphere Jacket - Men's:
A reasonably priced outer shell which is wind and water resistant and even has some jacket pockets, which other shells or wind jackets sometimes do not have. My biggest problem was deciding which color to get. The sizing was right on depending on what you layer underneath. The only thing I would like to see on the jacket would be pit zips but otherwise this is a really nice jacket.

Comments about The North Face Geosphere Jacket - Men's:
I needed an inexpensive windproof shell that could keep some rain off. This seems to do the trick. I am pretty rough on it and so far it has held up well. I'm fairly tall (6'6") so I take an XL. The length is good and the sleeves are actually long enough for me which is really rare. Had it out on a few windy days with a microfleece layer and it felt pretty good. The entire thing crams into its own left pocket and zips shut for storage.

Comments about The North Face Geosphere Jacket - Men's:
I just bought this jacket and haven't used it in the mountains yet. But even a casual stroll around town betrayed its greatest drawback: poor breathability. I was surprised, since the jacket is hyped as breathable, but even a brief, non-strenuous walk on a cool day left me feeling clammy in the arms and the small of the back. It was a windy day, so I might as well mention that the wind protection didn't seem any better than a handful of other lightweight jackets in my closet, none of which bill themselves as offering wind protection. All in all, a good looking jacket, but a disappointing performer. I will probably be returning the item to REI.
