It is rare to find pants off-the-rack longer than 32-inches. The 34-inch inseem is perfect for a tall guy like me. I purchased two pair before a trip to central Europe this fall and loved these pants so much -- they were all I wore! Fabric is super-soft and comfortable and they look great right out of your luggage with only minor wrinkles. We got rained on several days and these pants stayed mostly dry through it all and when they do get a little damp, they dry out quickly. Best of all, the hidden side-zip pockets are well-designed. I used one pocket for cash, one for credit cards, room key, and transit passes, and the third for maps. No need for a money belt (which is such a pain) in areas frequented by pick pockets. I rinsed these pants out in my hotel sink and they were dry by morning. After wearing them every day for a month, neither pair is showing any signs of wear or abbrasion. I would recommend them to anyone.

Finally a reasonably priced, lightweight pant with a choice of inseams. I was tired of most travel pants coming in 32 inch inseam only. They look good and pass for casual dress if necessary. I used two pair on a month trip to Italy last fall and never needed to carry anything else. After a year, they still look like new even after mutiple washings in the sinks of Europe. Use them all the time and just ordered more during sale.

I bought these as an affordable alternative to Ex Officio Amphi pants that I thought had better-looking and better-feeling material. Over the years, though, the Adventures pants have proven themselves equal to any task, from hiking and traveling to Asia to being paired with a dress shirt in a casual office environment. If I could change them, I'd make the fabric smoother and allow the pants to be machine dried, but they've proven so dependable that I'll certainly get another pair if the one I have ever expires.

I picked these pants out of the huge range available because they had a choice of waist (36') and inseam (34") sizes readily available and they were reasonably priced ([$]).They also had a number of pockets with zips, were lightweight and quick drying.So far they have lived up to my expectations, they are very light weight and comfortable, it almost feels like I have nothing on when compared to wearing denim jeans.They are also quick drying, easy to wash by hand and do not need ironing, in fact they do not hold a crease. Though they do wrinkle at the seams around the stitching which is not a big deal for casual wear.The pants are very baggy around the thighs, I am 5'11" and weigh 175 lbs which could be the problem :) this makes them comfortable but also causes a lot of wrinkles.The pockets with zips are good, the ones without zips could be deeper.The material feels very thin and is not warm at all, definitely summer pants, I am not sure how well they will stand up to abrasion ie. sitting or sliding on a hard or rocky surface

I bought a pair of these trousers four years ago and have found them extremely useful and wearable travelwear. Until recently I wrote guidebooks for a living and was constantly on the road, they were perfect for daily wear in tropical climates. Very comfortable sleeping in them on overnight trains as well. Easy to handwash at night, they were almost always dry by morning. Recently I took a full-time job at a daily newspaper in Bangkok and find them perfect for wearing to work there as well. The black-colored ones can be worn in almost any sort of social or work situation except formal obviously. The khakis are strictly for casual travel. Very sturdy, have never ripped a hole in them. I have two pairs of the black ones, the 32" and 34". The 32" was too short for me but I wear them around the house. The 34" are almost too long, but better a bit long than a bit short.
Wondering if the 'graphite' is the same as the black I have - they look lighter on my computer screen, hope they're not as I'm about to order another pair and love the dark black.
By the way, unlike another reviewer I did not find that they attract lint at all. He/she might be using the wrong detergent, who knows.

If these pants had a couple of extra belt loops, and an extra button or snap front they would be the ultimate travel pant. The extra button feature, like some other travel pants have is very reassuring during a trip, and the lack of a couple of extra belt loops tends to make the pant hang too shabily
