The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Lucky Bums Deluxe Ski Trainer Harness:
We used this when my son was starting to ski at age 3, and we're still using it now at age 5! When just starting out, it really helps build confidence and control. As for it sitting too high up or pulling the upper body backwards... I just had my boy keep his hands on his knees. That helps with balance and turning anyway, whether using the harness or not.
Nowadays we use it for getting on and off the lift, and something to hang on to while riding on the lift for peace of mind. It's also useful for after a fall: grab the handle and lift the kid, and all skis, legs and arms can untangle!
Plus, once the lines are no longer needed, the pouch is a fun place to carry a treat or snack.

I use this product every ski outting with my 2 year old daughter. She calls it her backpack! She just loves it. Not only does it make getting on the lifts easier but it allows me to slow her down when she bombs the greens.

Comments about Lucky Bums Deluxe Ski Trainer Harness:
I have found these so useful that both of my kids have one to wear on the mountain now. The leashes were useful when they were first learning, but they are off leash now.
My kids are 6 & 7 and we still wear them so we can use the handle on the backpack. They're not quite tall enough to be able to get on the chair by themselves, so we use the handle to hoist them up. It's also great for holding on to them while the lift is in the air.
Now that they're too big for the leashes we use the little pouch to carry other things - tissues, snack, etc.

Comments about Lucky Bums Deluxe Ski Trainer Harness:
This harness is so great for teaching kids to ski. The design is very functional. The harness is simple and durable with adjustment points on the shoulders and waist. The backpack pouch holds the leashes when not in use and has extra room for a small snack like a cliff bar or a sandwich. There are two options for attaching the leashes, (two leashes) with a leash attached near each side of your kids torso (helps teach turning) or a single leash attached to the back of the harness. Leashes are adequate length (about 7ft.) to feel a safe distance from your youngster in case they crash in front of you. The handle on the back of the harness is useful for picking up your kids after they crash plus it's great for added security on the chairlift. If you are even considering this type of device, you will appreciate this purchase. We use ours with a "easy wedge" and have had very good luck with teaching our youngsters to ski.

Comments about Lucky Bums Deluxe Ski Trainer Harness:
Very helpful for getting small kids on/off the lift. For skiing, the leashes attach too high, so I put it on my daughters upside down (shoulder straps going through the legs). Works well that way with the attach points right on the hips, near their center of gravity.
It's a little annoying to have to turn it upside down every time before/after getting on the lift, but well worth it. The extra confidence it gives my girls makes a big difference. I mostly only have to apply tension via the straps to avoid crashes or when the slope gets too steep. My older daughter (8) has already graduated from using it, and my 6-year-old still asks for it when on slopes a little out of her comfort range.

Comments about Lucky Bums Deluxe Ski Trainer Harness:
Pulls your child backwards when they need to be leaning forward as all of us skiers know. So I feel it teaches bad habits right of the bat.

Comments about Lucky Bums Deluxe Ski Trainer Harness:
Well made durable product that I used with my 4 year old daughter. Not only helped on the slope while she was learning but we continued to use it for several seasons to help her on and off the chair. Very secure and gave her confidence which is so important for young children. The pack is great for treats on the chair ride up. I strongly recommend and would not start a young child skiing without it.

Comments about Lucky Bums Deluxe Ski Trainer Harness:
this is awesome! We have been using ours for 3 years. We haven't used the leashes for years but our (now) 5 year old daughter is still wiggly on the chairlifts and the handle provides us a HUGE sense of relief. Also makes is simple to get her onto the old style fast chairlifts. Would recommend this to every parent who skis with young children!!!
