I'm a begining indoor climber and these shoes are great. Reasonably priced, so you don't feel bad spending a lot of money when you are first starting out climbing.

Comments about Five Ten Coyote Rock Shoes:

These aren't the most comfortable or the most aggressive shoe out there, but they area great shoe for kicking around the gym.

They are the best shoe I have found for the money, and if you are wearing out your nice shoes on an indoor crag, I'd recommend them as they are only slightly more expensive than a resole.

Comments about Five Ten Coyote Rock Shoes:

This is a good all-around shoe; I especially like it for cracks.
My main issue with it is that it isn't good for heel hooking: there is some empty space in the heel and the sole does not extend to the back - my sole is peeling slightly now because of too many slipped heel hooks.

Comments about Five Ten Coyote Rock Shoes:

I have been climbing in this shoes for 2 years about 3 times a week both indoors and out doorsg, and love this shoe. I will be buying this shoe again. This is a great all around shoe. I wouldn't leave for a climb without it. Its great at smearing and good at edging and crack climbing. There are shoes that I have used that are better at edging such as the Teams. But for versatility you can't beat these shoes. Many people say these are a beginner shoe. They are great for beginners but I have also completed 5.12a's in these shoes and had no frustrations with the shoes performance. My only complaint is that they turn your feet red for a month or so. It washes off. A small price to pay for their good value.

I only started climbing (indoor) a few months ago. I decided to invest in my own pair of climbing shoes. I do not have a lot of experience to draw from, however, I can say that I do like the shoes and enjoy climbing in them. I would recommend them to someone else who is just starting out.

Comments about Five Ten Coyote Rock Shoes:

              Pros:
Great beginner shoe. I've been climbing in the same pair for 1.5 years indoors and these shoes are still good to go. I mostly boulder in gyms (but these have seen real rock with me) about 3 times a week. They are crazy comfy for a climbing shoe and will do what they are meant to do up until you start getting in the V4/5(5.12) range.
              Cons:
The heel is pretty awful for heel hooking and the color will bleed into your socks or stain your feet if you don't like wearing socks with them. (It washes out though so not a big deal.)
Really the only reason I knocked a star off was the bad heel.

Overall: Great for beginners, cheap enough to be done with when your skill surpasses their abilities or to use as a comfy warm up/cool down shoe.

Comments about Five Ten Coyote Rock Shoes:

i mostly boulder and climb indoor. I have found that the sole or rubber of the shoe is too soft and wont hold up when you are trying to put your weight into a small nub type grip. However this is a great shoe for climbing cracks!

dollar for dollar it doesn't get much better

I use theese a couple of times a week. They fit great. I have wide feet, they were a little too tight at first. But after a couple of trips to the gym they molded to my feet. They fit perfect now. Very light weight and easy to transport.

Comments about Five Ten Coyote Rock Shoes:

This is the first pair of climbing shoes I have bought; I used a friend's pair of the same model and really liked them, so decided to invest in my own. I use these for light recreational climbing on the weekends. My standard shoe size is a US 9 or 9.5 but I bought these at Size 8. They have stretched just enough to be comfortable but are still nice and tight and they feel great on the rock. Good price point. I would recommend these to anyone just getting started.
