Comments about Asolo TPS 535 Hiking Boots - Women's:

I've backpacked for years, on solo thru-hikes carrying heavy loads. I owned these boots' predecessors, and when they ran out, I upgraded to this model, which was sturdier and heavier. They were flawless, comfortable over a 25-day, 275-mile hike in the Sierra. No blisters, aided by a good application of foot powder and daily changes of fresh Smartwool socks. These boots are waterproof, not just water resistant. I've also had them in the snow, and they are warm. Toe box is roomy and the heel is snug. They are the best.

Comments about Asolo TPS 535 Hiking Boots - Women's:

I am difficult to fit, and these boots fit like a glove. My first hike in them (break-in hike) was 9.5 miles, and I had absolutely no sore spots or blisters. I was amazed at how comfortable they were. I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in these boots and can't say enough good things about them. I forded waterfalls and they kept my feet absolutely dry. Surprisingly, my feet are never cold in them either (and I am always cold). Despite the negative temps at the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro and my hikes in the snow in Maine over New Years, my feet stayed toasty warm. All i wore was a pair of SmartWool socks and liners. The boots are a bit pricy and are somewhat heavy, especially for a small person, but they are well worth the money and extra weight. They provide excellent ankle support and hold up very well. I can't recommend these enough!

Comments about Asolo TPS 535 Hiking Boots - Women's:

My old pair of Asolos weren't quite up to a week of backpacking in the Canadian Rockies. I ordered a new pair (these) with just a few weeks to break them in before my trip. I was a little nervous about that. Unbelievably, this boot required virtually no break-in. They fit me like a glove and I could live in them if I had to. I love the high-cut fit and feel very steady on difficult trails. Ideal backpacking boot; probably more than I need on a dayhike, but they wear so well I don't notice the extra weight.

Went from Zamberlan, which is a great boot, but no longer available [...], to this boot. Very comfortable fit, short breakin, good toebox space.

Comments about Asolo TPS 535 Hiking Boots - Women's:

I read numerous reviews on these boots are other Asolo boots. I also spoke with multiple coworkers who have this boot. Based on their suggestions, I bought these. After working for a week and wearing them for 10 hours a day, my knees hurt, big toes were numb, and I had some other various pains in my feet and shins. Unfortunately, these boots just did not work for me. I needed a very flexible boot and these were definitely not them. I was informed that in order to break them in and use them properly, I would need to put a lot of weight on them. Anyone carrying a heavy load, over 50lbs (which is about what my daily pack weighs) would probably do very well with them. Essentially, they just weren't for my feet, no matter how much I wanted them to be.

Comments about Asolo TPS 535 Hiking Boots - Women's:

After having one pair of hiking boots for years, I finally gave in and bought a new pair. After getting recommendations from friends, I settled on this pair. They have held up great the past years with lots of use in rough terrain. It seems like the seam along the front toe is starting to separate just a bit, but some glue/goo can probably fix that. I recommend wearing them in for at least 20-50 miles before doing an extended backpacking trip, just so you are prepared for any blisters/sore spots. Only downfall is they are a bit heavy, but that is made up for in the warmth and support.

Comments about Asolo TPS 535 Hiking Boots - Women's:

These boots saved my feet. Took a trip to Glaicer National Park with a different pair of hiking boots. Two days in, it felt like my heels were being crushed so badly that I could not walk in anything with a back. We stopped by a store with a huge selection of boots and I tried on every pair (going boot shopping in intense pain can really save you from making a rash decision, that is for sure!). The Asolos were the only pair that I could actually walk in. Bought them and took them on a 13 mile hike the following day and I was amazed. The most comfortable boots EVER. They were the ONLY pair of shoes that I could wear for weeks because of the pain the previous boots had caused. Not only comfortable, but supportive, water resistant, warm, and they saved my hiking trip.
