REI Members get back an estimated 10% on this item as part of their annual member refund.

    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromPOOR QUALITY! VERY Disappointed in the quality of the cord and the cheap plastic clips. The cord is way too long and the clips are strange in the way they open. It takes 3-4 clips to hold up a regular short sleeve cotton top. I went back to using one I have from 5 years ago that even though stretched out, it is MUCH better design and quality than this new one. Strongly suggest you do NOT bother with this product.

by fromBad design The clothes pins don't stick to the line. When you hang up clothes to dry, they all slide downhill in a clump. You can overcome this by pinning the line with the article of clothing, but it's a pain in the neck and ultimately, for me, the plastic parts broke. You're better off buying a short piece of nylon cord and some small lightweight plastic clothes pins.

by fromDon't waste your money I boughtthis to use on while back packing, it was difficult to set up, the clips slid together easily and have to be clipped to the line which is a pain. The function that should adjust the tension did not work well and overall I was disappointed with the purchase, keep looking.

by fromC--p with a capital C This is not worth it, even for free! It is terrible. The clips broke (when I dropped then from a foot high), the rope snapped (with delicate tension), and it sits awkwardly in the tent. Listen: Buy 50 ft. of 550 Paracord (for about $6) and a pack of 100 plastic closepin hooks (for $0.50), and two heavy duty plastic, lightweight hangers ($1), and don't even look any further into this product. Cut the cord to the length you need and take a couple of hooks and a hanger. Please, don't spend around $10 and waste your time for $0.50 worth of rope and hooks.

by fromNice clips can't redeem this design The line is strong, light, and plenty long, and I like the reflective strand. The tightening clasp doesn't work well at all. I removed the clasp, strap, and clip on that end, and use a taut-line hitch knot instead. I like how small and strong the clips are, but I don't understand why they are oriented perpendicular to the line. This is OK for an item that requires one clip, but not items requiring more. Even with the line taut and level, the clips slide and bunch together in the middle. Tying a knot on each makes adjusting them cumbersome, and clipping the line along with the item makes for a twisted mess. I removed the clips and use them like ordinary clothespins. This required too much modification to work well. You are better off constructing your own for a few dollars.

by fromGreat idea - needs a tweak The length adjuster on the end was finicky to use. I ended up replacing it with a small Nite-ize figure 9 rope tightener. Then I was frustrated by the habit of the clips to slide together, scrunching up the clothes I was trying to spread out to dry. I solved this by replacing the cord supplied with a mil spec flat cord that offered some, but not too much, resistance to sliding freely.

by fromClips Don't Hold Items Very Good The main problem is that the clips don't hold very well. You have to use too many to hand a normal shirt. I ended up just drapping most of my items over the top. I could have used para cord to do that.

by fromCould be better It works, it does what it is supposed to. It's great that it's small and doesn't take up a lot of space. It's a tad flimsy and I don't know that it will hold up for a long time. I prefer to buy items that will really last. I did have to knot it in several places to keep the clips from sliding around. I would love it if they came out with slightly bigger version (thicker, longer rope, bigger clips). I was able to fit a few of my kids items on it, but I don't know how it would fare with heavier items.
