If your shoes are too loose, or if you are prone to getting blisters, you'll probably need a thicker sock. These are thin and comfortable, and should wear well.

    Wear these socks on every hike - up to 20 miles/day - live 2 miles from AT in North Carolina

    They are thin with 2 layers, but that is the beauty of the sock - one layer slides over the other and makes blisters a thing of the past.

    I cannot begin to understand a rating of 1 for these socks. If you are prone to blisters, buy a pair.

    They have thicker models - they are not normal socks, that is why they do an abnormally amazing job of protecting you from blisters.

    I own 10 pairs and wear them daily as well as when hiking.

      These things are terrible. Yes, they are two layers, but both layers are paper-thin. The cloth has such a low thread count (this might not be the right term for it, but it's the best I got), that it feels more like a gauze bandage instead of a more tightly woven fabric. I wore them in on a six-mile hike this weekend, and my feet were hating them. On the way out, I noticed that my liner socks (which I did not wear under these socks because of the double layers) were thicker than these socks . . . and they were smoother . . . and the fabric was more tightly woven . . .
