Definitely keeps the sweat out of your eyes. Before I got this I had to pull off my sunglasses and wipe my eyes with my riding gloves, which is not the safest way to ride.

It also does a decent job of adjusting with the temperature. On hot days I felt cooler and on cool (50 F.) days it kept my head comfortably warm. I haven't tried this in colder temps, and have my doubts it would be enough.

The one downside it has is fashion sense. My wife gives me endless grief about it. My solution is to pull it off with the helmet whenever we stop for long breaks.

I bought this on orders from my doctor. I'm an avid cyclist and she didn't like the fact that I was spending 2-4 hours a day riding with the top of my head exposed to so much sun. Now I don't go on rides without it. It keeps me cool in the summer (I live in Arizona) and surprisingly warm in the winter. And obviously I no longer suffer from striped sunburns on the top of my head. I bought two more and I just rinse it after the ride and hang it up to dry. It never stinks and has held up quite well. As an added bonus it does a wonderful job keeping sweat out of my eyes (I guess that was manufacturers intended use). Like I said, I won’t ride without one anymore.

I usually don't write reviews for products but the Halo Protex headband has been so incredible that I have to say something.
I just started running this year and was almost ready to quit because of the sweat in my eyes and on my glasses. I found this headband on sale and even though I was afraid I would look like a dork in it, I decided to give it a try. Not only am I still running but I actually completed the Ragnar Relay and have signed up to run a marathon. I love running with this headband on and won't run without it.
I also used this on a hiking trip under my waxed cotton hat and it worked great!!! Dunked it in the cool streams as we passed and it kept my head nice and cool. I use it on bike rides and even doing yard work or mowing the grass. Basically, anytime and anywhere that I would normally get sweat in my eyes, I now have my headband on and no sweat on my face.
As for looking like a dork while wearing it, I have quickly gotten over it because of the way it functions and have even had some people say it looks cool. I don't care what it looks like IT WORKS!!!

I don't cycle but I use the Halo to protect from sun as I live in the desert. Great for hiking/climbing where you need to look up and a hat brim might get in the way. Also doesn't get blown off. Keeps sweat out of eyes great. I've had min 4 years, used it loads and still looks like new!

I sweat reading a book, so its imperative that I have a means of keeping sweat out of my eyes. The rubber strip that sits above your eyebrows does a great job redirecting the seat to either side (read, not into your eyes.) I wear this cap when mountain biking and when running. It fits perfectly under my helmet. Be mindful however if you have a date planned after your ride; the rubber strip tends to leave a red line across your forehead. Small price to pay for sweat free visibility in my opinion.

I am a 57 old zig zag gear head rider. Using this puppy keeps the sweat out of my eyes, along with no more headaches or racing strip sun burns on my head. I give it 5 stars as on one ride a bee got caught in my helmet. Althought I got stung, it was a mnor one thanks to the head protection. Can't wait to use this when I am backpacking this Ocotber for head warmth. Money well spent on this product!

This is quite the headband. I bought it about 2 years ago when I started getting into summer cycling, and haven't looked for another product since. I bought the white one, which not only looks cool, but hasn't yellowed or lost its white vibrancy in the least since its purchase. I use this headband especially on long bike trips or hot summer days, as it does a fantastic (fantastic!) job of keeping the sweat from running into my eyes. There also isn't a lot of material in it, so it doesn't get heavy at all while you're out riding. A+
