Comments about Vargo Outdoor Titanium Stakes - 6 Pack:
Overall these things are amazing. They feel lighter than air when you pick them up, and even a full tent's-worth of stakes weighs the same a couple pop cans. They're alot stronger than they appear as well, though just like everything else they'll bend if you abuse them. The only problems I've found with them is that they aren't very good at hard ground and they're difficult to push in. Backpackers don't generally carry hammers to tap things in with, and the thin profile makes these hard to press in with a boot heel without bending them in half. In hard ground, one has to push hard and twist them back and forth. They are, however, very sharp and smooth and penetrate most substrates easily. Bottom line, its hard to find a lighter stake, [...]. But if you're going to be camping on compacted or rocky soil, I would suggest the MSR Groundhog or needle, or the Vargo titanium nail-type stakes (all of which are heavier).

Comments about Vargo Outdoor Titanium Stakes - 6 Pack:
I felt a little foolish spending that much on tent pegs but I had a rebate to spend so I went for it. I was very impressed by how light and strong they are. After two months on the trail you are bound to step on them a few times while walking around your shelter, but they don’t bend. They are very easy to stick in the ground because they are like needles. I’m going to get another set for my other sherters.
