Simply fill this Katadyn sport bottle from any fresh water source, squeeze and sip! Water is made safe to drink as it flows through three purifying stages.

  • First-stage Filter removes large sediment and disagreeable odors
  • Second-stage Cyst Filter traps protozoa in a web of glass-fiber
  • Third-stage EPA registered ViruStat Microbial Cartridge disinfects the water from bacteria and viruses with iodinated resin
  • Fits neatly in a bicycle's water bottle cage or the pocket of your pack; spout snaps shut for dripless transportation
  • The 26 oz. bottle holds 20 fl. oz. of water after the displacement of filter cartridge
  • Polyethylene is 100% BPA free

This personal hydration system provides complete anti-microbial protection against cysts, bacteria and viruses. It is recommended that the ViruStat Cartridge be changed after 200 refills (26 gallons, depending on water quality). Change the Cyst and Pre/Post Filters when water flow becomes constricted.

    I bought this purifier about 7 years ago for a week long kayak trip down the Scioto River in Ohio. When arriving in Ohio, one person said "you'll get deathly ill drinking that water." Another told me "you don't want to drink Ohio rivers, they burn."

    The river was the only water I had access to. So, for a week, I plunged the open bottle into the river, replaced the cartridge and cover and drank.

    Let me tell you, during that week I could've sworn that I was drinking store bought bottled water.

    By the end of the week I was just starting to taste the water. The cartridge will last more than a week under normal conditions, but if you now what rivers in Ohio are like, you'll now why this only lasted a week. For those that don't know, the only way to describe Ohio rivers, is to say, just look at a cardboard box.

    I am still using my original bottle and have replaced the cartridge 3 or 4 times now.

      I have forgot how many times in the past I have had water problems, broken filters, running out of water... got this system as a back up and its a main stay now. From week long kayaking trips to hiking the Virgin River Narrows. Small bottle design works great in the deck rigging of a kayak or stuffed in your backpack! I have used this purifier in many different water ways and I have had no problems to date.
