When these came on the market I was in Lander Wyoming at the factory. [...] they were water proof. They are not, they can handle no water. In the time that I had mine I returned it 3 times for a new one. Only the first broke from exposure to water to take a temperature. The second broke in my pocket while on a guide trip, the third when it got wet in a short rain. The fourth and final broke in the truck on the way to the river. [...]
