The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about CycleOps Magnetic Bike Trainer:
I have been using this product for about two years now.Since I live in Canada, my trainer gets used LOTS (long winters and plenty of rain, sleet and snow). I average on a yearly basis 250 hours of different types of training. Training such as long steady distance at 65-75% MHR, of at least 90 min, all the way to hard interval training pushing 90-95% MHR.Over a period of 24 months, I have had CycleOps (owned by a company called Sarris)replace the resistance unit 6 times. The reason for the replacement was always the same: a misalignment of the fly wheel which made the unit vibrate so noisely that you could hardly hear yourself think.I must say that the factory support I have been extended has been great (other than being placed in very long phone queus). They have replaced the resistance unit at no charge every time I have brought the problem to their attention. The catch is that I must ship the faulty resistance unit, on my nickel, back to the factory (which is in WI). They then send a NEW unit to me at their expense. The turn around time at the factory is only one day since they do not actually repair the unit.Other than the need to replace the resistance unit after every 80-85 hours of use, the trainer is very stable, easy to set up and is versatile enough to provide many types of training possibilities (resistance unit has 5 levels of resistance).I rate this product as follows:Design 2/10Workmanship 7/10Support 8/10P.S. I determined that the noise level was not normal after using a TACX trainer. After using the TACX unit I called Sarris and made them listen to the racket the CycleOps trainer made over the a speaker phone (I sound sample was worth a thousand words). They immediatly agreed with me that a replacement was needed.

Comments about CycleOps Magnetic Bike Trainer:
I am glad that I bought this. It's great for when the weather is so foul (100+ degrees or super cold and rainy) but you still want to ride. It does get alittle noisy on a hard wood floor, but I throw it on an area rug and it quiets down significantly. Very portable too. I take it with me on trips when I need to do some training but don't feel like venturing outside the area.
I also use it at work. As a paramedic, 24 hour shifts get long and dull. Running is out of the question because of being tied to the ambulance.

Comments about CycleOps Magnetic Bike Trainer:
This works great for my apartment and keeps me on the bike in the winter. I'm a big guy -- need the low-impact benefit of biking -- and the resistance is still fine.
It's a little noisy because I live in a four-flat, but nothing that a rug underneath and not usinging it past 9 p.m. can't overcome.
For the typical cycler that likes his/her bike a lot better than the stationary ones at the health club, and for someone who still wants time on wheels even when the weather won't cooperate, it's hard to find a better deal.

Comments about CycleOps Magnetic Bike Trainer:
While a little noisy, this is the quietest of all the magnetic trainers I've tried. The downside is it doesn't fold away as flat as some other models. There's nothing amazing about this trainer. I'm happy that I bought this because I can keep in shape when it gets dark early- I don't like riding at night.
I'm satisfied with it and I'm glad I didn't spend more on a fancier model.

Good, simple to use trainer. A bit noisy, but you get used to it. Once you set it up for your bike, the lever control makes it a snap to lock in your bike.

Comments about CycleOps Magnetic Bike Trainer:
I've had this unit for about 2 years. Set up directions were a little had to understand, but once it was set up, I found it really easy to use. The only down sides I've found are some noise, a little vibration, and having to get off the bike to adjust the tension. That said, I still love it. It's stable, seems durable, and it keeps me fit when it's too wet or cold to ride. My previous trainer was an old Minoura wind resistance unit that required removing the front wheel. This is WAY better.

Comments about CycleOps Magnetic Bike Trainer:
I am a 50+ female and find it easy to hook in/out, and use it most mornings in the winter. I used to run for exercise, but my physio recommended I get one of these and start riding as its easier on the "old bones & joints". I love it, and I can keep up my level of fitness in the winter without leaving the house and risking life & limb in the dark icy mornings.

Comments about CycleOps Magnetic Bike Trainer:
I was disappointed, this trainer while well built seemed too loud and not very stable, for all the positive reviews I've read, it just did not live up to my expectations.

Comments about CycleOps Magnetic Bike Trainer:
Attaching my bike to the cam lever is difficult. Plus, the small, rotating bar(next to the flywheel)which the back tire glides against is not long enough. It takes 2 people to get the bike to line up against the fly wheel and the cam lever. Finally, though, when the bike is attached, it works great.

I was previously using another brand and could not get enough resistance.
