Comments about MSR Denali Evo Snowshoes:
This is my 2nd or 3rd pair of MSR snow shoes and I am a big fan of the fit, traction and stability of these shoes. I have never used any other brand but I attended a winter workshop where many other brands were used and my MSR shoes were the envy of the group. BIG PROBLEM however is that I am returning my 2nd pair of Denali Evo for broken straps. I am 215 lbs and an admittedly clumsy hiker, but I have not exposed these snowshoes to a lot of extreme use and yet the straps are breaking. I am exchangning them without hesitation because the last thing I want is failure while in the wilderness on a solo trip. I'll also try to get replacement straps for a back-up from MSR. But I don't want to give up the traction and stability for another brand. I also find these to be easier to adjust and get on/off than what I have seen from other snowshoers using different brands. I would consider the Lightning for their lower weight, but without confidence in the strap integrity I won't spend the extra [$].I have not had the problems other reviewers expressed. I use the tail piece for deep snow and get good flotation even with an overnight pack. I get outstanding traction and my only difficulty getting them on and off is doing so with a pack on. In fact other than the strap problem I would give this product 5 stars.

Comments about MSR Denali Evo Snowshoes:
I live in Utah so most of the places I go showshoeing have alot of rocks. I would ruin a pair of showshoes about twice a year because of the rocks. They still worked with a ton of holes in them but it just makes you mad. I tried these MSR's when i had broken mine and I just needed some shoes for the weekend. I tried them out and loved them. They are unfazed by rocks or trees or anything. Best showshoes I have tried. Well, here in Utah anyway.

Comments about MSR Denali Evo Snowshoes:
This is a great all around shoe and very effective in all terrains. There is one serious design flaw though. If you look at the bottoms and the metal teeth, they don't run around the whole shoe. On the edges of the metal this can create stress areas for the plastic. Eventually the shoe will snap at that point.

Comments about MSR Denali Evo Snowshoes:
I've used these on power, drifts, packed trails, and rolling hills. They worked great on all. With powder you'll want the tails regardless of weight, but you can run efficiently in them for a great workout on packed trails and they are stable as they come. Fantastic all around durable shoe.

Comments about MSR Denali Evo Snowshoes:
these shoes work well in all terrains. I mostly use them on long steep approaches to climbs or for quick summit romps to steep for boards.

it does not work in deep snow unless you have tails

Comments about MSR Denali Evo Snowshoes:
I wouldn't trust these. The weight distribution is just to ineffective in comparison to other snow shoes.
