The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Gel Packet:
I have a sensitive stomach, and a few years ago when I started training for my first marathon, I tried all different kinds of Gu to keep me going during long runs. They all made my stomach upset, and I didn't know how I was going to get through training, until I discovered Honey Stinger. It's an all-natural version of Gu, and it was the only energy gel I could consume before and during my runs that kept me energized without upsetting my stomach.

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Gel Packet:
Used these while hiking for a quick and easy boost on the go. Hiking 9-12 miles after 10hrs of work and before dinner, they give the extra boost to keep going. Would also be nice for distance runners.

I use Honey Stingers to make peanut butter and honey sandwiches to take on my longer bike rides. They are also tastey just to squeeze right in your mouth.

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Gel Packet:
I've been running with gu for the last few years and I find that all the sugar just sits in my belly all day after a long run. I picked up a strawberry and gold gel pack while I was at REI yesterday and headed out for a 17 mile run this morning. While the gel was a little sweet, it was much easier to swallow and didn't reside in my belly making me feel nauseous for the rest of the day. I felt really great my entire run (took the strawberry with caffeine around mile 6 and the gold around mile 12). I would recommend this product to other runners!

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Gel Packet:
I bought this to try and see if I can use it for camping as an emergency food. I love honey and it tasted great but then after the couple of sipping out of the pack I realized it was too sweet because my throat started irritating.
I also found out that in large consumption it gave me diarrhea. It is natural honey and honey itself has it's own bacteria. That's why honey is never fed to babies.
I recommend mixing it with hot water to drink with to kill the bacterias.

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Gel Packet:
As an energy boost, this gel worked fine. No complaints about that, and this is mainly the reason for my "bottom line". However, I have to say that out of all the gels I've tried (about 5 different ones), this one was the toughest to swallow. It seemed really thick, and it felt like it never made it past my throat. I had that feeling and a not-so-great aftertaste for a few miles later. This was even after I took a few more chugs of water. I didn't have that problem with any of the other gels.
I did love the honey idea, so I was disappointed that I didn't like it more. Try it out, what works for me (or didn't work) doesn't have to be the same for you.

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Gel Packet:
I've been going through all the goos and blocks in an attempt to find one that works for me. As with all of these, personal taste, stomach temperment, etc varies person-to-person. I tried using the chocolate flavored one on a short 6 mile run and nearly threw up. The honey had crystalized, which wasn't a big deal for me. The problem was the sweetness was WAY too over powering and it tasted disgusting. I couldn't even force myself to finish it. Every time I tried, my throat would close up because of the sweetness.

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Gel Packet:
I decided to give this gel a try instead of the usual Gu or Hammer during a long run up the hills, and I must say I was very plesantly surprised with the product. It is just like honey but less gooey which means it went down a little easier. The colour of the gel is bright yellow - looks weird - but hey, it works very well. I loved the taste as it is more natural than the other energy gels. No stomach cramps or problems with it. I'm a new fan!

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Gel Packet:
I had not used gels/gu/etc. in my training, then thought I could get used to them in the weeks prior to "the long race" of the year. Bad idea. GU was too thick and strong, gummies were too cumbersome...stinger was just right. Went down smooth and easy. I still like the taste better than the alternatives. Highly recommended if you need nutrition for a race but haven't properly (months in advance) trained with it!

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Gel Packet:
I tried the gold one and the ginsting. Both Were great. Much better then that...other stuff. It held my stomach hunger off for a while. I could see some improved energy. But then again climbing is exciting! These also taste very good in green jasmine tea on a cold morning.
