The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Oakley Half Jacket XLJ Sunglasses:
I've had a pair of Half Jacket XLJ's for the past several years. The first pair was rootbeer with gold iridium lenses. The tint was outstanding for intermittent sun in wooded areas. I mountain bike several times a week and needed an open frame, secure pair of sunglasses that wouldn't leave me blind once the sun disappeared. The gold tint is perfect for accentuating contrast between browns and greens. I also love the cut of the XLJ lens. There is almost no peripheral area left uncovered... an important feature in fast moving sports like technical trail riding where you have to read a trail (center line and periphery) quickly. I didn't want frame obstruction or even just the lens edge in my line of sight. Fit was great. I have a narrow face and Oakleys in the past have been too wide. these were perfect. They stayed put over helmet straps, knit caps, bandanas, even during crashes. My only complaint was that sweat build up on the lenses removed the coating which seemed odd to me. I returned them to REI after about 3 years of use and they were replaced no questions asked. Oakley will not do this AT ALL after 1 year of use, but REI will. After that hastle free experience, I will purchase all my sunglasses though REI. They were replaced with black frame/dark gray lenses (REI gave me the option). These are much better for bright conditions such as driving or trail running in open, sunny locations. I use them for bright XC singletrack, but most of the deep woods trails in NC are simply too dark to use the dark lens. I will eventually buy a set of gold iridium and/or clear lenses for trail use. Overall, the half jacket is a great, simple, and well functioning pair of sunglasses. Highly recommended, but only if you have the assurance of replacement through REI.

Comments about Oakley Half Jacket XLJ Sunglasses:
Used in cycling and running. Oakleys have to be the best glasses out there. Perfect clarity, perfect fit, durable and stays in place in action sports. XLJ cut fits my face better than the round ones. Was turned off by the price for a long time but now know it was worth the money. Interchangeable lenses offer great options for specific conditions but can be a pain to change.

Comments about Oakley Half Jacket XLJ Sunglasses:
You run faster when you put these on.Seriously, they're very sleek glasses that fit your head well. The grip pads on nose and near ears hold true when the sweat pours. Lightweight, and though the XLJ lens is a different shape, it provides good coverage all around (no sun enters in). Doesn't pinch your head and give you those annoying headaches. I went for the Half Jacket instead of the Flak Jacket because of the narrower fit. The Flak's were just too wide, not as form-fitting as the Half Jacket.I have the Black Iridium lenses, and they are wonderful in the intense sun of western Colorado. You can buy additional lenses [...]and change them out. If you're running near water all the time, spring for the polarized lens, which significantly reduce glare.I just ran 18 miles in these this past weekend (in full sun) and never once had to take them off or readjust, nor even realize they were there. They do their job, so you can excel in whatever you're doing. I'll wear these driving, hiking, disc golf, etc. Versatile. Oakley nailed this one.

Comments about Oakley Half Jacket XLJ Sunglasses:
My best friend's dad used to own a sunglass store so I used to get Oakleys dirt cheap. I am now hooked. These are the sunglasses that I currently have and they are the best I have ever owned.
