          Comments about First Aid for Dogs - What To Do When Emergencies Happen:

          First, let me say that I absolutely LOVE my canine comapanion! We have been conditionaing and training for very long through hikes together since she was old enough to hike. We go about everywhere together and I felt I needed a good first-aid book for when help is not available.

          I did not read this but book thouroughly. I did thumb through it at REI. I kept reading "take dog to vet". For instance; Symptom: If dog is weak and lethargic; take dog to vet. Symptom: If dog is bleeding profusely; take dog to vet.

          I already know when to take my dog to the vet, I need to know what I can do when I cannot take my dog to the vet.

          Definately NOT a trail first-aid book!!!!!!!!!!!!
