There are plenty of good reviews here, so I don't feel like I need to repeat all the kudos (which are true). What I can add to the discussion is that these "Infinity" lights really are built to last through years of rugged use. For those that don't know, this is actually the THIRD generation of Infinity lights. I received my first "U.S. Gov't" issue Infinity light in the late 80s (matte enamel black). When I got out of the Army, I bought myself a "CMG" version of the same light because it worked so great. And finally I bought this "Gerber" version which has improved the tail, added the handy clip, and seemed to have improved the light output slightly. The thing is, I still have ALL THREE of these Infinity lights in good working order despite years of rugged use (impacts, water submersions, pressure changes, extreme cold/heat, and just jostling around hanging on my keychain). Through decades of other flashlight brands which have come and gone, these are the LED lights that are still with me and I thought it would be worth writing about. Yes, light output is average (but for it's size and convenience to carry around, it's far more likely to be on your person than a larger, brighter flashlight). Yes, for it's size, it is a bit heavy, but you know what? I'll carry that extra weight if it means "soldier-proof" durability for almost 20 years now. And, I consider the SINGLE "AA" battery power source a enormous plus. Not only does it last a surprisingly long time (since LED just sips power), but I don't have to deal with chargers, unreliable rechargeables, or weird proprietary power cells which are impossible to find in some remote coastal village in Honduras. Also, one other great design feature is that you must TIGHTEN the cap to turn it ON, rather than vice versa (which is like most other lights like the mini-Mags). The advantage to this is.... no more accidental deployments (draining out your batteries or giving your position away). It may seem like a small thing, but I can't tell you how many times I've grabbed for a light when I needed it and found the battery drained because it had accidentally turned itself on and depleted itself. This is why I consider the Infinity "reliable".

Best small flashlight I've ever had (and I've gone through MANY). Survived 2 deployments to Iraq, numerous field excerises, 2 I.E.D. blasts, and all with the same bulb. The design is simple, durable, and easy to use, stash, and operate with one hand. I can't say enough of this little guy.

This flash light worked out real well lighting single track trail while on my 3:00 AM run. The flash light fits easily in the palm of your hand and casts a wide bright beam . I never realized how many animals were looking at me at that time in the morning. I've used many flash lights over the years and this is the best by far. Whoever designed this deserves an award. You'll be pleased with this purchase.

This is a really great little flashlight. It replaced a trusted Mini-Maglite I'd been using for 10+ years. The Mini-mag didn't give out, I was just tired of replacing batteries and bulbs every few hours. This Gerber uses one battery (which is replaced less often) and obviously being an LED doesn't need bulbs. I've been using mine for about 3 years - it got heavy field use while I was in the military, and I use for everyday illumination, travel, and outdoors use now. It is compact, has a long battery life, and is very durable. The one LED is quite bright. I highly recommend for anyone wanting a compact flashlight.

There are few other lights in this class that are as rugged as this little marvel. Thanks to a more efficient LED, it is 2X brighter than it predecessor with only a modest decrease in runtime. Running on lithium, it is lighter, brighter and lasts longer. It is the perfect back up/emergency light.

Beautifully made, fine quality. I keep a couple of them in the house and one in the car. Except for times when I need a headlamp, this lamp is generally all that I need. Bright light, small size, the battery lasts a long time and the bulb lasts indefinitely. I'll give it five stars.

I love this light, use it on a daily basis and has become part of my daily wear. The only thing that I wish they would have done is throw in a lanyard for it. Without the lanyard it still gets 5/5 for durability, brightness, and size.

great product...great little floodlight. bright enough for the small area in front of you. durable and easy to turn on and off. I especially love the clip since I can clip it onto the brim of my hats/baseball caps and turn it into a headlamp. it's perfect for lighting the areas in front of me i need to see and it's very bright. I use it for delivering pizzas at night when i can't see where i'm walking to get to the doorways or i can't see what i'm writing. well worth the [$].
