The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Counter Assault Chest Holster:
This is almost completely useless. Unless you have absolutely NO other way of carrying your bear spray, avoid this holster. - It comes with no useful instructions and there are none on the website. - The holster has a retaining strap for the spray canister that won't fit over the 230g canister handle that it was designed for. - The retaining strap locks down the safety clip - very tightly - and blocks the finger hole completely preventing you from doing ANYTHING with the canister until you undo the retaining strap. - You could not undo the retaining strap and ready the canister with one hand. If you use two hands it would still take 3-4 seconds just to get the canister out (it will be pointed across your chest at that point, by the way). - If you don't attach the retaining strap to allow easy and fast manipulation of the canister, the retaining strap is bulky and about 10 inches long. An annoying and unnecessary piece of material to have dangling off you.Bear spray is designed for one-handed use. You need to be able to deploy it, aim and be ready to fire in just a couple seconds. This [$] holster impedes EVERY element of bear spray canister design; elements that are intended to save your life![...].I feel much safer (and it's much more convenient) to use my pocket than to use this excessively cumbersome holster. Even with fully-loaded hip belts on my Gregory Baltoro 70 backpack, I can whip the bear spray canister out of my thigh pocket and be ready to fire about 1 second if I use the finger hole. Using the loop and first hand, second hand, first hand method I can be ready to fire in just over 2 seconds. Using this holster on your chest, you would be hard pressed to be ready to fire in less than 5 seconds. From a dead stop a bear can cover 50 yards in 3 seconds.I will return this worthless holster the first chance I get.
