      I own this shirt and the Columbia Titanium equivalent. The REI shirt is lighter, less scratchy and a roomier fit. It is not as durable as the Columbia, but it is still pretty durable considering it's made of lightweight nylon. It's got plenty of pockets for your map or other small items.

      I do wish it was available in more colors (such as the green the long-sleeve comes in). Also, the shirt (as well as my REI nylon pants) retains odors. Both reek of eastern hemlock trees and the smell does not come out despite many washings. I only wear these hiking and there are worst smells to be stuck with so it's something I can live with. Overall a very good shirt.

        Curious, so I bought one from the "brick-and-mortar" REI in Las Vegas. Got home and have ordered and received 4 more in all the available colors. I use these shirts all my waking hours, at work, home and play. I have even slept in it. Always comfortable.

          This is one of my favorite shirts, and I look forward to hiking mainly just to wear it. It breathes very well, with a back flap and partial mesh inner liner. After a 1 hour hike this thing is covered in sweat, but dries fairly quickly and is still very lightweight. I would say it weighs less than a standard t-shirt.

          Only thing I don't really like are the pockets on the sleeves. They are too small to hold anything larger than gum and fairly pointless. But I guess they make the shirt look a little stylish.

          I brought three of these shirts with me on a 12 day Mediterranean cruise and loved them. They are comfortable fitting, they do not wrinkle in a suitcase, they are breathable so on the days of higher humidity they were still comfortable and the concealed zipper pocket was the perfect place to keep my wallet and passport safe from pickpockets.

              Very nice shirt with some pluses and negatives. First, the negatives. For some reason, one of my two shirts starting pilling after the first use and washing. I have no idea why this was, but REI exchanged it for another. The only thing I can think of is it got this way in the washer, so be careful. This makes me a bit wary of the durability, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. Oh, I normally wear an XL, but had to buy a Large in this shirt.

              Now for the good stuff. This shirt is comfortable and very dry. It also evaporates sweat quicker than any shirt I've had before. My buddy and I hiked Bear Canyon in LA, he had an off brand sweat wicking shirt, and I this one. At the turnaround point, we took our packs off and both our backs were completely soaked. Within 5 minutes, my shirt was completely dry. His never did dry, despite being made of polyester. I've never had a shirt that keeps you so dry, including the REI Sahara T's (which I love as well).

                It is a very nice shirt that is good for traveling and other outdoor activities short of intense hiking.
                The fit however is off. It feels way too large, especially for active clothing. If you are between sizes, definitely take the smaller. I am 5'11" 190 lbs and pretty lean and my large is way too baggy. The length is true to size though.

                Great shirt for the price. Soft, breathable, usable pockets, and looks good for a night out in Cabo. On my trips to Baja, I wash the shirt every night as it will retain odor. No big deal as it dries quickly with no wrinkles. Good sun protection as well. Great for travel as I can throw this thing in my bag and know when I need it, all I have to do is pull it out, give it a shake and I'm good to go.
