    This is an excellent mini-tool for camping and every day use. It has a nice assortment of tools (though a can opener would be nice), and it's quite durable and comfy. The plier grips are quite comfy because they made the edges fairly thick. The pliers are pretty stout for such a small size. They work nicely for small nuts and bolts, but they do flex a little. The wire cutter works well. The flat phillips screwdeiver works surprisingly well. I carry it everywhere I go, for work and play, and it's quite handy to have around.

    As for downsides, the lanyard ring does not retract, so if you're not using it, it still gets in the way. The knife blade is a little on the thin side and is sharpened only on one side, rather than both, which makes it cut strangely in some materials. Also, the dull edges of the knife blade and the edges of the lanyard ring are not smoothed or rounded at all so they're a bit abrasive. You couldn't use a string in the lanyard loop, the edges would cause enough abrasion to break the string quickly. Also, the rivets are not smooth on one side, sometimes catching on small fabric fibers in my pocket and generally feeling rough.

    If it had a mini fold-out scissors this would be the perfect tool. Instead I got the S4 in addition which I keep in my bag. This P4 lives in my pocket. All in all, it's a very practical tool but could use some smoothing around the edges.

      I carry squirt everywhere. I've owned mine for about four years and I can't count the number of times it comes in handy. It's the greatest everyday tool around because of the features. It's light, small, durable and easy to use. While it wouldn't stand up to my Swiss Army knife when I really need a tool, every other time it's the tool of choice.

        I used to carry the traditional Leatherman on every hiking trip because I needed the pliers in case the dogs found a porcupine. The Squirt has replaced my big knife! It is easier to use and does the job just as well. I still haven't had to sharpen the blade! I NEED this tool!

                I highly recommend this tool because I have used it every day since it hit the market around the turn of the century. Why? Because it is so handy that I always have it on my keychain when my toolbox is not around and my larger multi-tool is in the bag. This tool is tough and has almost never let me down. It's only limitation is its small size which is also its greatest asset. It works just as well now as it did when I first got it and the only wear item is the chipped paint. I prefer the pliers to the scissors since the knife can do most anything the scissors can whereas the scissors can't grab or crimp. I use the plier feature more than the knife since I also carry a pocketknife just for the larger blade, but again, there's been many times when the knife was somewhere else and the Squirt was in my pocket.

                  Great little tool for everyday carry on your key ring. Would like to see some other tool in place of the awl but its no big deal. Couple the Leatherman with a S binner for quick into action convenience.
