    Ortlieb is the best pannier available. I have had non-waterproof bags with good organization & waterproof bags without organization (pockets). This offers both! The design ensure your inside contents stay dry and the straps are designed well to compress the contents of your bag.

    Also, rack attachments are very secure on the bike. Anyone who has had their pannier fall off going downhill knows the problems that ensue. These attach securely, but remove pretty easily. Very intuitive.

    I haven't had them long, but they are already more durable than previous panniers. In short, the best touring purchase besides the bike! I am ordering another pair for my wife.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      Wow. Best pannier ever? Waterproof without having to use a cover.
      Very adjustable, can even use on commuter bikes that don't like rear panniers (the bag can cant at an angle to avoid your peddling feet!).
      Very roomy bag.
      Internal pockets and one external pocket.
      Reflectors.
      Intuitive release mechanism.
      Even though it is pricey, it is well worth it.
