Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
If you have metal flatware then it can start to taste metalic, but no more than, say, eating out of a can. If the bowls are stacked, they can be challenging to pull apart. Overall, I really like them. They are sturdy and attractive, and a good size. Very light.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
This bowl compliments the MSR mountain plate to eat camping meals with. It is slightly heavier than the Snow Peak titanium bowl but still functional.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
When I bought this bowl I was looking for something that would fit inside my MSR StowAway pot and still leave room for a Titanium coffee mug. It fits the bill perfectly so I now have a great one person dining set exactly the way I want it. I'd thought about using a plastic food container but for the price I couldn't pass this up.

For a personal meal, completely cooked, already in the bowl to eat. The metal has been good for kitchen uses.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
I used this bowl for years. I hitchhiked and backpacked through New Zealand 5 years ago by myself and this bowl came charging the whole way. I still have and love it. I would recommend it to anyone as I love MSR and I trust stainless steel to keep my food clean without leeching weird chemicals. The ONLY drawback of this product is hot foods and liquids. I usually only travel with one bowl and use it as a plate/bowl/cup to save weight. I also drink lots of tea at all times. When I make tea in the woods/on the go the bowl will burn your hands when the liquid is fresh off the burner. In winter this is not a problem cause of gloves and the desire to have a hand warmer, so its not a major con at all, but keep this in mind when purchasing. I LOVE THIS BOWL!

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
Great product. I use it at home and outdoors. It's heavier than the titanium bowls but the price makes it worth it because I'm not afraid to throw it around and get it dinged up (even though that has yet to happen).
The best part is that if you get a pot lifter and pack about a square foot of aluminum foil it can double as a pot to boil some water or cook up a small meal. All you have to do is buy two bowls and pot lifter. Best of all even after that you still haven't spent as much as you did on a titanium vessel.
Overall great stuff. Only thing that could be a problem is the weight but really that's not that big of a deal.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
As another reviewer noted, the bowls are hard to separate when they are stacked. We are a family of four so I bought four bowls and keep them stacked to conserve space. When the bowls are dry, there is some effort to separate but not impossible. On our last camping trip I had washed the bowls and stacked them without drying as I didn't have a towel. Now two of the bowls are impossible to separate as the water created a vacuum seal between the two. I've tried using pliers but to no avail. I will be returning these and look for other brands.

Comments about MSR Mountain Bowl:
MSR makes a great product, but one previous review gives a few less stars for the bowls being hard to separate when stacked. I have solved this problem by putting a small dent in the bottom of my bowls, but it is only necessary if you intend to carry several of them for others to enjoy... hope this helps, happy camping!!!
