The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Cat Eye BM-500 MTB Mirror:
Bought this as a replacement for the failed inch-square 'Heads Up' eyeglass-mount mirror that I tried first. Mounts easily and firmly, doesn't wobble, holds its adjustment where you put it - gives an excellent big wide view.

Comments about Cat Eye BM-500 MTB Mirror:
I owned this for about a year before it broke. The field of view is good and the unit is solid, however, the pain for me was always maneuvering my bike into my bike-locker at work with this attached. I would have to de-adjust it each time. So look out for that if you use a locker for your bike.
Eventually the ball a socket joint broke, probably from the fatigue of continual adjustment.
The mirror plastic tended to pop out of the frame from time to time but it always just snapped back in with no problems.

Comments about Cat Eye BM-500 MTB Mirror:
I have had one of these mirros on my mountain bike for years without any failures. It is stable and exhibits minimal image loss from vibration. I put another one on my flat handlebar road bike that I use for commuting to work. It seems to be just as good as the first one. A good buy and an important safety feature.

Comments about Cat Eye BM-500 MTB Mirror:
I bought this mirror to use while commuting. For the first month or so that I owned it, it was fantastic. It didn't vibrate too much (a frequent complaint I have heard about handlebar-mounted mirrors) and it was very easy to adjust while on the road. But then, out of nowhere, the part that houses the mirror snapped off while I was riding. I was hoping that it was a fluke, so I exchanged it for a new one. A week after installing the replacement, the mirror itself fell out of the housing.
This would be a perfect rear view mirror if it were durable enough to withstand being used on a bicycle, but as it is, I wouldn't recommend it.

Comments about Cat Eye BM-500 MTB Mirror:
The mirror constantly fell out when riding. Finally I had to glue it in place. Not good!

Comments about Cat Eye BM-500 MTB Mirror:
My wife and I each have this mirror on our around-town hybrids. We're casual riders and need to be watchful of traffic coming up behind us. The best things about the Cat Eye are that it installs very easily, has a great field of view, stays firmly were you put it, and because of the stalk that it's mounted on, does not interfere with your left grip. The one weak attribute that we've noticed is that the mirror on my wife's bike popped out of the housing once, but we just popped it back in and there hasn't been a problem since then. I'm going to buy a couple more to keep as spares.

Comments about Cat Eye BM-500 MTB Mirror:
I really wanted to like this mirror, but no matter how I placed it, I get a better view of my arm than the road behind me. It installed really easily, seems nicely, it can adjust very well, but the way the main arm is constructed, it puts it in a very poor position for being able to see behind me, which is the entire point of the mirror. I'm going to try a different one.
