The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Reliance Luggable Loo:
At the store where I bought this, one had the choice of getting just the seat, or the bucket and the seat. It looked as though you could put it on any paint-type bucket, so I got just the seat-lid. I wanted to use it with a shorter bucket that fit under the bed at my cabin. I can't find any bucket that it will "snap on" even one that looks the same size as the one you can buy with it. It will sit on top my shorter bucket so I am using it ok. I would like it to snap on so I don't knock it off in the dark. The thing is made in Canada. Perhaps the buckets up there are metric sized which might explain why I can't find a US bucket to go with it. I like that it's inexpensive, if a little flimsy.

Comments about Reliance Luggable Loo:
I bought the Reliable Luggable Loo
So my boyfriend could take a poo
I love there's need to fuss
Cause he won't have to flush
But we'll have hand sanitizer on cue!

Comments about Reliance Luggable Loo:
Our upstairs bathroom is being renovated - out of use for 3+ months. I have arthritis/other health challenges and using stairs is tough especially in the night. So fortunate to find economical, sanitary, and easy-to-use "Luggable Loo" - problem solved!

Comments about Reliance Luggable Loo:
We've used this system for 7 or 8 years in dispersed camping and river trips, a total of between 100 to 150 overnight uses. It is reliable, easy to maintain, and easy to use. It has good capacity and has taken care of 8 people on 4- and 5-day river trips.
With lid's rubber gasket, it seals quite well and due to its size is easy to transport in vehicles and boats. Cleaning is a piece of cake--I just add water, swirl, and dispose of contents in a pit toilet or an RV dump station. The empty inside can be sprayed with disinfectant, wiped out with TP, and you're "good to go". I've heard that you can also spray the inside with PAM or WD40 before use to aid in cleaning, but I've done fine without doing that.
Tips for use (based on our experience):
1. When you get a replacement lid (at the hardware store), be sure it has a rubber gasket.
2. RV potty deodorizer chemical can help with odors.
3. If you lay a layer of TP on the bottom of the empty container before use, you will minimize problems with sticking when you dump.
4. The seat is small for some people, but it still works fine for them.
5. The plastic hinge on the seat is not very durable and seat & lid may separate. If this matters to you, you can use duct tape or can buy a replacement seat.
6. It is a good idea to create a dedicated bag for TP, hand sanitizer, rubber gloves, deodorizer, disinfectant, and (optional) privacy tarp.

Although this product does work I recently gave it up for a product called the Biffy Bag. With the BiffyBag you don't need a bucket or commode so you don't have to carry extra stuff or clean up after yourself or family (yuck). Biffy Bag comes with everything you need and doesn't smell cause of the Biffy Powder. Also it isn't fun carrying a bucket of waste around when you need to "pack it out." I use the Biffy Bag in all situations and I love to hike, camp, mountain bike, climb, and even go caving sometimes and it has never let me down.

Comments about Reliance Luggable Loo:
I have not camped in YEARS mainly due to the fact that I'm not very "outdoorsy" and I prefer the comforts of home, especially a toilet. But we went camping with friends and they bought the Luggable Loo for the 2 night camping trip. I can not tell you how much more I enjoyed this camping trip without the need of a shovel or the use of a stinky, disgusting "vault". We purchased a privacy tent, they bought the Luggable Loo, we split the cost of the Reliance Double Doodie bags (AWESOME!!!) and everyone was happy. The women were happy with a "place to sit down" and the guys were happy because we weren't whining and complaining. By the end of the trip I had nicknamed it the Loveable Loo. The absolute only complaint was the men decided that it needs to have an elongated seat as it is not very user-friendly for a man to sit on that small seat.

Comments about Reliance Luggable Loo:
The Luggable Loo saved the day (and the night). I am 32 weeks pregnant and was about to opt out of a family and friends camping trip until I discovered the porcelain goddess of the camping world. It was there at my beck and call all night long: no fussing with headlamp, shoes, waking others, fearing the nocturnal wild kingdom, and a trek to the outhouse. I followed the simple directions for the sanitizing "eco pack" (just add water) and the Loo was good to go. The seat is comfortable and the lid closes securely. With one daughter potty training and another one coming, I forsee this product on all our future camping trips. Pregnant or not the convenience is worth it.

Comments about Reliance Luggable Loo:
Bought this so my wife and girls would go camping in places where there wasn't public restrooms. We also use it even when in a campground that does have public restrooms. We have three small girls so when they need to go we often don't have time to take them down to where the vault restrooms are. Plus you don't have to worry about the mess others leave in the public restrooms. Also for those midnight urges for the girls....no more having to walk all the way down to the restrooms! We line our loo with plastic bags and put kitty litter in the bottom for odors and moisture. You can either empty each use or if you are cheap, just cover your business with some additional kitty litter!
