The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Byer Amazonas Barbados Hammock:
I got this hammock when I proposed to my ex-wife. She said yes! Suffice to say, this hammock served her better than me... her and her new husband are very happy with the product!
I have seen the hammock hanging in the backyard and it still looks good after 5 years! We bought the Mocha color and it looks absolutely great! Great buy!

Comments about Byer Amazonas Barbados Hammock:
I bought this for my wife for our second anniversary. She's always wanted a hammock and esp. so since we just purchased our first house with the perfect set of hammock trees.
I, for some reason, missed out on the fact that it didn't come with the gear I needed to start using it right away so i had to go to a near by outdoors store to buy some slap straps and carabiners to start using.
My wife and i love relaxing in this hammock for reading and taking long summer naps! Great design, extremely comfortable, easily transportable and easy to store. I highly reccomend keeping it in it's bag when not in use because the cotton is not resistant to anything.

Comments about Byer Amazonas Barbados Hammock:
My ex-girlfriend and I used to share this hammock on camping trips and in our backyard. I was skeptical at first, having been used to the old-school white rope hammocks with the wood crossbars, but after a nap in this bad boy, I was hooked. Even with two people, it is immensely comfortable!
Julie took the hammock when we broke up (actually, it was hers anyway), so now I'm getting my own!

Comments about Byer Amazonas Barbados Hammock:
I just got back from a deployment in afghanistan, where i was living in a minuscule 7x7 room with utterly no storage space. After about 6 months of sleeping on a mattress so old you could roll it up like a sleeping bag (and this was an inner spring mattress) I sent home for my hammock, and strung it up diagonally across the room. I slept in that hammock for 6 months until we came back stateside, and slept incredibly. it even fixed the back pain the old mattress had given me, within a couple nights.
Excellent, Excellent product. The only reason it gets a one star shot is because, being cotton, you have to be careful about storage or it will mildew. Also, the sun wreaks havoc on the ink. Be prepared for it to fade heavily if you leave it up outside for too long.

Comments about Byer Amazonas Barbados Hammock:
I bought this hammock specifically to use when I "popped the question" to my wife. That was over three years ago and it has turned out to be one of the things that stays in the car because we use it so much. It's extremely comfortable and easy to set up. Both my wife and I can nap together in it, although that doesn't say much since neither of us weigh all that much. I've even used it when it's colder than what I would consider "hammock weather". Just throw in some blankets and you're golden.
Some of the things to think about though...this is not for backpacking. It's bulky (although it has it's own little storage sack), and weighs quite a bit due to the fact that it's 100% cotton. I've never gotten it wet, but I'm guessing it wouldn't be good for it. Also, when you're hanging it up, make sure you string it up high since the cotton fabric stretches quite a lot over time. I usually hang it at eye level (I'm 6' tall) and after a few hours my wife and I can reach over the side and grab our shoes off the ground.
After a few years this thing is still going strong. Some of stitching is getting worn out, but I don't see any problem with it lasting another couple of years.

Comments about Byer Amazonas Barbados Hammock:
This hammock rocks! I have it set up between 2 trees behind my house and it the best spot in the neighborhood! I love the fabric as it is soft and colorful. The other nice thing is it kinda envelopes you in a cocoon-like state since the edges wrap around your body and you have some privacy while you snooze or read a book. Definitely a worthwhile purchase!
