Comments about Cleanwaste PETT Portable Environmental Toilet:
I have three kids and they always have to go to the bathroom at the wrong time. This portable toilet solves the problem every time. It is easy to set up, is totally safe and easy to use, and fits great folded up in the back of my SUV. I am also an avid fisherman and having a back up plan is just another comfort to me. Really can't say anything bad about it. Being able to use any plastic bag is also a great thing, incase I run out of WAG bags!
Service and delivery comments:
It was delivered two days early, and wa ready to go out of the box.

Comments about Cleanwaste PETT Portable Environmental Toilet:
We have had our pottie for about 4 years. The powder reduces odor so well, that I keep the pottie inside our large tent at night. Three uses, and it's time to replace the poo bag. I hate getting out of the tent at night, and this fits the bill. On uneven terrain, the three legged structure is a bit tipsy.

Comments about Cleanwaste PETT Portable Environmental Toilet:
At first, I thought it was a bit expensive, but it is one camping item that is worth spending the money on. They have a very good system to dispose of human waste and to make everyone comfortable pooping in the woods. It is portable and packs easy and much smaller than some other solutions. When I go on a trip, I pack a bunch of WAGG bags directly in the open area so they are quickly and easily accessible when you set it up.
Toilets are now becoming required on rivers and in many national parks these days and for good reason. Digging a cat hole is just not desirable for the inexperienced. This toilet and system is easy to use, sanitary and able to be used by kids and adults alike. Mated with a pop-up shelter, and you have privacy to do your doody.
The only negative remark I have for the design is that it can be tippy, so be careful. The legs can sink in sand or loose ground and since you are on a tripod, you need to maintain a relative center of gravity. You can't just flop yourself down on it like a porcelain throne.
I have used this on a 4 day kayak trip and multiple overland 4x4 trips in the backcountry. I also used this in an 'emergency' when our sewer backed up and we couldn't use any water overnight. My wife was finally grateful that I had all the camping equipment and this toilet was a savior that night for the whole family.
Don't overstock your WAGG bags b/c the bags are meant to be biodegradable and they will start to degrade after two years.
Overall, this is a fantastic product and a great value. The more we use it, the more I am happy with the purchase.
Service and delivery comments:
Customer service is also fantastic! After our trip to Death Valley last year, I could not find the mesh bag that goes in the toilet that holds the WAGG bags. I looked around to purchase a replacement without any luck. I called up the company and they sent one out right away. Excellent service.

Comments about Cleanwaste PETT Portable Environmental Toilet:
Bought the little gem to take camping with us so no more middle of the night walks up to the bathroom facilities. It is a bit shorter than I had imagined, but not so bad that it will be an issue (we aren't that tall) and it will fit in the vestibule area of our tent better. The unit itself feels very sturdy and doesn't move when someone sits down. The lid does fall off easily under its own weight, but I am going to see about rigging some type of cord to it to help with that issue.
My biggest complaint is how the legs fold back in. Like another reviewer said, you have to push the hard plastic away from the leg in order to fold it in. It is very easy to pinch yourself while doing this, so be careful. (It happened to me on the first setup.)
Overall I am very pleased with this product. Hopefully the bags get multiple uses like many people have said.
Service and delivery comments:
My order was placed on a Monday before 4p ET and it said that it would be received by Friday that same week. Unfortunately it was not received until the next Monday. But still was a prompt delivery overall.

Comments about Cleanwaste PETT Portable Environmental Toilet:
We call this product "the game changer" because it has truly made our camping experience more comfortable. Whether for use in your tent at night or when it's really chilly outside, or taking it to a peaceful spot in nature, the light-weight, compact, easy set-up design makes using the PETT a no-brainer. The disposable bag system is very smart and simple. I highly recommend this product.

Comments about Cleanwaste PETT Portable Environmental Toilet:
I have had this for a number of years and have used it mostly for multi-day canoe/camping trips. Given the alternative products, it is compact and fits into many tight spaces - important when space is a premium in a packed canoe. The feet that support it taper narrowly at the bottom and offer little support in sand or mud (sound like a rivers edge?). Be careful when setting it up and test it before using it to avoid surprises. The chemical bags are too pricey, but I guess that's how the company makes the real profit.

Comments about Cleanwaste PETT Portable Environmental Toilet:
I like this toilet. Took it kayaking and it makes pooping/peeing really easy. Especially because this particular beach did not allow catholes. The bags are easy to use and the gelling stuff is fairly cool. I think I maxed it out with three uses in one bag - not a good idea so two is the max. Unless you take a #2.
ALSO - great for multi-use. Good as a seat as well as a table.
As 5 is perfect, and I've got a few personal gripes, I give it a 4. Nothing super bad, but just not perfect.
1. I kind of wish the lid would stay on rather than fall off under its own weight when open. I like how that it detaches if needed, but it does fall off easily when open. Not a huge thing, but just wished it did.
2. I know it is a portable toilet, but wish it was slightly smaller. I took this kayaking and it took up half the deck.
3. I'm not super thrilled about the way the legs are latched/unlatched. The way you have to unfold the legs requires you to push away plastic that really looks molded and stern. We'll see if the plastic eventually tires and fails.

I use it for camping, you could use it if you drive longhaul, this thing is awesome, don't buy anything else, I met the inventor and he gave me one for a gift! Trust me, you will be so happy you bought one of these! Clean, super sturdy and stores easily!

Comments about Cleanwaste PETT Portable Environmental Toilet:
I have used this toilet from the backcountry in Colorado to the back seat of a Passat and LOVE it. I know, the back seat thing is a bit odd. But it was a 15 hour drive and I wanted to test the odor eating capacity of the powder. I set it up, did my business and zipped it up. The driver never suspected a thing. I asked him the next day and he didn't believe me. The only thing I've had trouble with is that it is very light (which is also one of its best qualities). So if you've got it set up in a windy place, you'd better secure it some how. I've also had a hard time getting the legs back off. I just leave it set up, but believe it's suppose to pack back down into suitcase form. I haven't figured that one out yet.

Comments about Cleanwaste PETT Portable Environmental Toilet:
This is a life saver. After a total colectomy 10 years ago I have had many bathroom instances that the PETT would have saved me. Now It rides in the back of my truck. No more worries. Just about anytime anywhere I'm covered.
Also, use for camping is great. The ladies love it. Never thought I'd could make friends with a portable toilet. In carry in carry out parks this is a key item.
Would highly recommend this product to everyone. It is tough, easy to use, and it beats digging holes any day.
