Ok, since REI does not seem to list the Men's version of this UGG boot, I figured I would just place my review here since they are essentially the same boot.

I love these boots. I got my first pair in the mid-80s when they were still really hard to get in the US. They are imported from Australia, and as I understand it, they were first popular as an after surf boot. By the time they trickled over to here, they were being used by surfers and skiers, and, by ice skaters and ice skating coaches (which is how I discovered them). After a long day of skiing or skating, these UGGs are everything that a skate or ski boot is not (instead of tight, cold, rigid... UGGs are fluffy, warm, and so soft on your feet). They just feel so good to put on your feet, that I sometimes find myself fantasizing about the moment when I can put them on again!

Sure they look kind of big and chunky, but after the way they feel at the end of the day of winter sports, you won't care. I wear them out to the apres-ski lounge or restaurant, I wear them as comfy slippers around the cabin, I wear them while driving long distances. In recent years, UGG has improved the tread and sole, so it actually does wear more like real shoe/boot and is reasonably water-resistant for the snow country. If there really is a "con", I'd say it is that you'll want to wear these UGGs all the time (instead of other shoes), because they are so comfy and convenient to pop onto your feet.

Note: they are properly worn bare foot (without socks) and the fluffy lambswool just caresses your feet, like a "warm, fuzzy teddy bear".
Yes, you can wash them (machine wash, air dry).

Finally, I am not sure if I am permitted to discuss this per REI review guidelines, but I wanted to address the issue of the pricing which some may look at, guffaw, and dismiss this fine product offhand. What I wanted to say was, you get what you pay for. This is a premium quality product made out of premium quality materials that will last for years of use. I buy a new pair every 5 years or so, and I consider it well worth the price. I once bought a cheap off-brand copy of an UGG at a discount store and it lasted about one season (never again, I said).

Ugg makes great boots. These boots are meant to be worn without socks (if you read the UGG web site), however they can be worn with thick socks, tights, or just bare feet and they're always comfortable. They're incredibly warm and adding the water proofing to the exterior a few times makes them fantastic shoes - and I have perpetually cold feet.

This pair of boots is to replace a pair of UGG boots I've had for 14 years, which finally fell victim to a puppy who pulled the shearling part out of the top. I figure once every 14 years or so isn't an unreasonable time to replace boots. Unbelievably comfortable and warm, but not too warm. My old pair wasn't very water resistant, but I have hope that with the water repellant spray the new ones will do better. Couldn't face another winter without them.

I just recently got the classic short uggs in chestnut for my birthday (12/26/08), and i love them!!!!!!!! Yesterday, I went to the mall, and my feet usually start to hurt when I am in the mall for too long, even in sneakers, but not at ALL, in my uggs.I was totally comfortable!!!. and when we got outside, my feet were totally warm (and it was freezing yesterday!!!). I hope to soon get another pair of uggs!!!! If you are a shopper, deciding on whether to get uggs, i would say "Go For It!!!!"

So sorry I waited so long to get a pair of UGGs. Unbelievably comfy, although probably not for those who want or need a ton of arch support. I agonized over the sizing, since I had never tried a pair on, and went with the 8, even though my regular shoe size is a 9. Because I won't be wearing these with socks, the 8 is perfect. I would suggest to people who want to wear thick socks with their UGGs to order their normal size. Absolutely worth the money.

I have an old pair of uggs on diffferent color, but I really wanted to get the grey color and I couldn't be happier, I love them. I use this boots every winter and they do great job keeping my feet very happy and warm. No need to use socks.

I have wanted UGG boots for so long!!! This time when I had my 20% off coupon for being a member I got myself some. I wear a 7.5 shoe and got the size 7 in the Gray and they are perfect. They were backordered but shipped in just over a week and took two days to deliver from WA to FL. I love REI and the UGGs are great. If you are like me and have waited forever (wearing fakes all along that are not as comfy) GET THEM even if they are backordered.
