Great Tire for many different Conditions, Hasn't Let me down in the harsh AZ desert. Not great in DEEP sand but almost nothing is so stay out of it!

Comments about Panaracer Fire XC Pro Mountain Tire - 26 x 2.1:
I threw these tires on an old Specialized M2 Hardtail after the previous tires began giving me a lot of traction problems. The Fire XC offers solid traction on all types of surfaces (dirt, sand, slickrock, asphalt, etc.) and when you're really leaning into a turn. I did notice a slight slip on steeper sections of slickrock but it was nothing that can't be remedied with powerful pedaling and determination. Awesome tire.

Comments about Panaracer Fire XC Pro Mountain Tire - 26 x 2.1:
Purchased these tires after the OEM's wore out. Have about 100 miles on them, mostly trail riding. Converted to tubeless and found the sidewalls are weak with the threading showing and extremely porous. Took forever to get them to seal with the tubeless fluid. Very disappointed in these tires, my other mountain bike has different tires not rated for tubeless (these aren't either), but this other brand was a snap to convert and have held up well on the trails. Wish I could return these tires, they aren't what I was hoping to do with them. The sidewalls look like they have been in the sun for years and the rubber is eaten away - didn't expect this with only 100 miles on them.

Comments about Panaracer Fire XC Pro Mountain Tire - 26 x 2.1:
When I bought my hardtail a few weeks ago it came with tires for light trail use. Which means? Spinning tire on steep climbs and loose pack trail. So, went ahead and bought one of these for the rear on the advice of a friend. I've been using these about a week now, and have not seen any slippage. Even to the point where I'm lifting the front end quite a bit from a dead stop in low gears. From what I've heard, they are not a street tire, but I don't plan on seeing much street on my bikes, so it works for me. Went through a briar patch and thorns pretty steadily too with no punctures. Get this tire, if for nothing else, then atleast your rear tire. I'll be upgrading my front soon aswell to eliminate washout.

Comments about Panaracer Fire XC Pro Mountain Tire - 26 x 2.1:
While I have not tried many different MTB tires on my bike, I am very pleased with these. They give me great traction in the dry, sandy soil around here, and corner very well. They are definitely not for riding on pavement, except when you can't avoid it, but they are much better for riding on the trails than the tires that came with my bike. I have had only a couple of flats from thorns (I also use sealant, thorn resistant tubes and liners) in the 3+ years riding these, even though there are huge quantities of thorns and cactus spines in this part of the country. They are starting to wear, but I'll get another set to replace them!

Tried them out in a mountain bike race in Danville, VA. Tires worked great. Track was damp from rain but tires worked very well. Gripped very well on climbs and corners. Definitely a worthy investment.

Comments about Panaracer Fire XC Pro Mountain Tire - 26 x 2.1:
These tires ride well in most conditions. I have had issues in mud and deep sand but overall am pleased with the tire's performance Single track and fireroads are no problem here. Traction of the Panaracer Fire XC Pro is excellent because on the same climbs where my old tire was spinning the Panaracer did not. Good value for the price.

Comments about Panaracer Fire XC Pro Mountain Tire - 26 x 2.1:
Great tire, in 3+ years on these tires have yet to get a snakebite on Annadel trails that used to eat my tubes. Great traction under power, tall lugs on edge provide excellent confidence in fast corners and on loose terrain. Good traction through rock gardens due to square lug design. Kevlar beads are easy to remove by hand should you get a flat. They wear faster than other knobbies on concrete, so stay on the dirt. Worth every penny.
