Have owned 5 pairs of this shoe. They are the most comfortable shoes I've had in years, so I wear them constantly.
HOWEVER, the rate of sole wear is a real problem; on average the sole begins to show wear within 3 months, and is badly worn in 6. Can nothing be done about this?

I have purchased three pairs of these shoes. I am not going to buy a 4th. I can only wear them during the cold season. During the summer the shoes are way too hot and do not breath. They sure are comfy, but keep that in mind.

I have just worn out my third pair. They are so comfortable when new that I have bought them repeatedly, but that comfort has me wearing them every day. In just a few months the soles are worn through, the heel is worn off at such an angle as to make them uncomfortable. The inside lining is all frayed around the heel. For what these things cost, they should be more durable.

I won't buy them again, nor would I recommend them to a friend.

I have bought this same pair of shoes 3x. I am ready to buy my fourth. I love these shoes that much. The fit out of the box. Durable, stable, comfortable. Buy multiples of these shoes. They are also great for traveling. Easy to walk long distances and can slip them on/off in an instance. Must buy.

I've owned this pair for 8 years now and worn mostly all the time. I'm now ordering my second pair now I don't get out much, but they are now worn and a bit slipery. very comfortable to wear right now they still look good but the soles are worn . ( carpet wear lol). but can become warm in the summer so I'm going to buy one pair of a lighter weight, and one of this style for winter use Take care and happy trails....

everyday everywhere.
shoes are really comfortable, convienient and good enough to go almost anywhere
difficulty is rapid sole wear which leads to bad walking fit and serious foot pain.
I love these shoes but can't afford to replace them as often as they wear out

These are may favorite casual shoes. For everything from jeans&polo to pants&sportcoat. The Nubuck is easy to clean (buy a nubuck/suede cleaning kit) and the shoe is well made.

I'm writing this review because I'm online buying a second pair of these shoes. Best I've ever worn. I've worn the first pair almost exclusively for about 15 months. The soles have finally worn through the first layer of rubber, so I'm taking them to the cobbler - but first I need to order a second pair because I cannot stand to wear laced up shoes anymore. These make great office shoes because the leather cut looks professional from above and because I can slip them off my feet when I'm at my desk. Couldn't do that with laced up shoes, otherwise I might get caught shoeless if someone needed me. As far as concerns about them being too hot, I've worn them through a summer in Davis, California, which gets over 100 degrees outside, walking 3 miles to work in them, and they have never felt hot during the walk. I take them off as soon as I'm at my desk, so maybe that is the reason. Also, I always wear socks with these shoes. If you wore them barefoot like real mocs, as the name suggests, they might overheat.

In the winter, I wear these every day. Am ready to purchase my 4th pair, as they do wear out fast -lining tears as well as outsole wears out fast. I have been trying to find an alternative brand or style, but keep coming back to the Nubuck Jungle Moc due to its comfort and convenience. Its like wearing a stylish slipper everywhere. However, only concern is that Merrell has changed the outsole on the Suede versions, but not on the Nubuck....why? I do like the updated outsole on the Suede and would guess that it wears better...so Merrell Product Managers----It's time!!!!! Lastly, the Nubuck does seem to have a little more "cardboard" feel than when I purchased in the past. Have you changed sources for the leather??
