Comments about Eagle Creek Undercover Silk Money Belt:
I was a first time backpacker and traveling to Europe as a sole traveler. I like the cloth/silk material and the design ability to wrap around and fit securley next to my body/skin and easy to access is a plus-easy to clean is helpful. I placed the most valuable and hard to replace items in my money belt (as advised by other travelers and guide books). I did use plastic baggies to keep items from body moisture/damages. As a first time use, I did not remove belt and worn 24/7 except for taking shower/bath. This of course caused alot of moisture with skin irritation and discomfort, alternating from front to back made for an even more discomfort and difficult to access. Items carried: Passport, credit cards-three, health insurance papers-two 8x11 sheets, US/foreign money-various sums, travel tickets-plane-train. I do not feel that these items then or now should cause the bulky discomfort I felt. I was traveling for two months, which included alot of walking with/without backpack, various weather condition-mostly dry, sleeping, sitting, climbing steps, various other movements. I consider these activities very normal for the kind of traveling I was doing. I met other people throughout my travels that did not wear their money belts 24/7 as I did; some left there money belts inside backpacks or rolled up in pants/jacket pockets, these individuals suffered losses due to thieft, robbery, or forgotten and left behind in some hiding place they discovered. Due to my 24/7 wear, I did not encounter such losses, I felt very secure and safe always aware of my important items, my only advice would be to use the money belt, and the plastic baggies-VERY IMPORTANT, but use alot of powder between the money belt and skin contact. A bit of discomfort outweight the stress and losses of not wearing a money belt. My recommendation to the product design, more adjustable around the waist I could never get the money belt tight enought with all items inside the money belt. I Highly recommend this money belt for security and peace of mind.

Comments about Eagle Creek Undercover Silk Money Belt:
Using this money belt was easy and allowed quick access to money, passport and IDs. The bulging out in the front of the pants is just me being female; I don't want anything to make me look wider in the torso. I would not stop using the belt because of it's ease in use.

Comments about Eagle Creek Undercover Silk Money Belt:
[...] It's a fine product. I've worn it continuously for more than 2 years of constant travel in South America and have never had a problem. I don't take it off...ever...except to shower. And it has absolutely done the job, so I recommend it to almost everyone. However, if you're a constant traveler like me, expect the silk to wear through starting sometime around 1 1/2 years. Also the material does collect moisture from the body and so periodically needs washing which might weaken it further. Thus, for light and medium use it's excellent. For heavy use, day in and day out, it lasts 2 1/4 years.
