Comments about Nalgene Cool Stuff Wide-Mouth Tote:
Don't trust the photo that accompanies this product. This neoprene sleeve DOES NOT FIT a Nalgene bottle. It leaves about 1" of bottle exposed above the top of the sleeve. It does fit pretty snugly around the bottle but I can get over that. I can't get over the fact that the photo shows a nice fit up to the neck of the bottle but the actual product won't go up that far! This is going back to the store.

Comments about Nalgene Cool Stuff Wide-Mouth Tote:
I purchased 2 of these bottle holders but quickly found out when I returned home that the bottle does not fully fit into the holder, even when forced. When I returned to the store I checked several Nalgene bottles (including wide mouth) with several different sleeves. None of them fit! The product picture shown is deceiving. In reality there is roughly 3/4" of the bottle exposed above the drawstring, making it impossible to secure. I was really hoping that this product was going to be the fit I was looking for.

Comments about Nalgene Cool Stuff Wide-Mouth Tote:
I use my Nalgene bottles with insulators everyday. The insulator keeps my water bottle from sweating on my office desk - and keeps my water icy cold.
I purchased one insulator from REI and two additional insulators directly from Nalgene in different colors.
I don't leave home without one...

I drink a lot of water. These bottle covers keep my water cold for hours. I use them in my car, backpack while riding DART lightrail in Dallas, and while cycling. In the hot Dallas summers this holder/cover keeps my water COLD. I am buying a third because I took one to the State Fair with a smaller bottle & it must have fallen off. I have had no problem with the stitching, sounds like Nalgene corrected the problem.

Comments about Nalgene Cool Stuff Wide-Mouth Tote:
I use this to keep my water cold while working. I fill the bottle half full with water and the rest with ice. This sleeve keeps the water cold longer and absorbs the sweat from the bottle. It keeps the water cold for about four hours. I was disappointed in the stitching. The bottom started coming undone on the third day. Instead of returning, I just repaired it my self. The bottom line is its a great product, Nalgene just needs to work on their quality control.

Comments about Nalgene Cool Stuff Wide-Mouth Tote:
I needed something to help keep the moisture from beading on my Nalgene bottle when filled with ice - this does the trick wonderfully.
I use it around the office and on the go - it doesn't fit a cup holder, but keeping my bottle from splattering when I fill it with ice is well worth the trade-off.
As an added plus, it helps keep drinks cool for a couple of hours.

Comments about Nalgene Cool Stuff Wide-Mouth Tote:
Unnecessarily tight, it's difficult to remove the bottle from the sleeve. If that's not an issue then it's fine.

Comments about Nalgene Cool Stuff Wide-Mouth Tote:
So I used this when camping in temperatures around 5-15 degrees. I was hoping it would help me keep the water drinkable and to test it out, I brought a pair of nalgenes which sat in the drink pockets on either side of my pack, one with this cover and one without.
I can say that yes it does help slow freezing, but it won't prevent it. While the goal is to keep the water inside the bottle liquidy, one of the problems is that the cap will freeze shut, even with the bottle upside down. Once the cap is frozen on (from water droplets being on the threads between the cap and the bottle), you're basically out of luck. You can try and unscrew the cap, but it's tough going, especially with the neoprene case on as it trying to unscrew the cap makes the bottle spin inside the case. Also when water spills on the cinch straps, they freeze and get crusty which makes it that much harder to free the bottle and get it out.
If you're camping in the winter, you'll likely still need more than this to keep your water warm/liquidy. This definitely isn't a magic pill if you're looking to keep your water drinkable in the winter.

Comments about Nalgene Cool Stuff Wide-Mouth Tote:
My son has been using one of these for about a year for soccer practices and games. Insulates nicely for the 3 or so hours that it needs to. He doesn't want anything bulky or doesn't want to carry an ice chest - so this is perfect. Am picking one up for my daughter's sports as well. Great idea, but Nalgene needs to work on the fit as it is a little tight.

Comments about Nalgene Cool Stuff Wide-Mouth Tote:
bought this tote to replace an outdoor research bottle sleeve i had for many years. used the Nalgene sleeve to hold a one liter bottle on my pack's hip belt during a six day bacpack in BWCAW. noticed the neoprene began tearing at the corners where attached to the belt webbing loop on day two. not the durability and quality i have expected from Nalgene.
