Comments about Sportube Single Ski Case:
I use this whenever traveling by air. Being a hard case, you know your skis and poles will be protected when the baggage handlers toss around and stack bags on top of each other. While not the easiest to maneuver and carry (the wheels help), it definitely provides peace of mind. You'll need to secure ski brakes with the included rubber bands before it will fit inside the case. The case halves nestle together to half the total length for convenient storage.

Comments about Sportube Single Ski Case:
I've used this for the last couple of seasons, traveling all over US and Canada.
Incomparably better than soft cases - no worries or damage when using this. Wheels on the case are really welcome at the end of a long day hauling gear into and out of airports.
Just be sure to replace the basic lock pin - it doesn't survive through handling by TSA and the airlines. Pony up for the combo lock to keep the case closed correctly.

Comments about Sportube Single Ski Case:
I have used this case for long storm chasing trips in South America and ski travel throughout North America. Was once approached by a SWAT team in Buenos Aires since they thought I had a bomb/rocket launcher when I went to a bank because the case looks so menacing. It protected my skis from numerous flights, baggage handlers, and bus drivers around the world.
Recently I found that it will NOT hold my new powder skis as the AT bindings make the skis too thick and the brakes are too wide to fit inside. ONLY use this with Alpine Bindings or Dynafit/Tele gear. I found that they do not handle tip widths above 135mm without major issues.
I prefer the hard cases for the lack of insurance issues with the airlines and big Airlines do not charge fees for skiers with these cases over the soft bags. Telescoping poles are much better to get into the box than full poles.
One last note, the built in handles will cut your knuckles open in hurried handling of the bag. To avoid this, wrap them thoroughly with duct tape.

Comments about Sportube Single Ski Case:
There is a sticker on this product that states "Fits all skis and binding types" I guess by "ALL" they mean all except AT bindings. I know for a fact it doesn't fit my powder skis with AT bindings. If you have skinny straight skis from 1980 with little tiny bindings, this is the product for you.

Comments about Sportube Single Ski Case:
This case protected my skis when I traveled from Syracuse, NY to Denver, CO for a ski trip. I actually saw the airline people throw my gear and others. I was so glad I had this case!
