      Comments about Chisco Heavy-Duty Suspenders:

Recommend with reservations. The stretch nylon does not do a good job of holding up pants when loaded with tools or when attached to a carry belt for extra support. The stretch takes away the suspender advantage. For light use with hiking or hunting pants they are good. The clasps are better than the toothed metal found on most heavy suspenders but still require thick fabric (belt loop or fold over) to stay attached.

      Comments about Chisco Heavy-Duty Suspenders:

I have given these suspenders a one-star... only because the plastic-clips are not strong enough... otherwise, they are bomb-proof. I intend to return the merchandise... and keep on looking for a suspender that stays secured to my Gore-tex pants.

Won't work with a backpack. The backpack pushes down on the back clips, releasing the suspenders.

                  Comments about Chisco Heavy-Duty Suspenders:

I have been trying to find a solution to holding up my ski pants for a long time, and have tried at least 3 other pairs of suspenders. None of them have been up to the job, as the clasps inevitably pop off when enough jerk is applied. I have finally given up on detachable suspenders and today opted to sew belt loops onto my ski pants and thread a belt made of webbing through. I hope this solution proves more effective.

                      Comments about Chisco Heavy-Duty Suspenders:

I bought them for use with shell-pants while skiing. Sturdy construction, but poorly designed. The cross-separator (in back) isn't fixed, so they kept slipping off my shoulders. In addition, the pants clasps didn't clasp very well. I wouldn't recommend this product.

                      Plastic buckles were too chunky

These suspenders felt uncomfortable because of the chunky plastic buckles and adjusters would dig into my chest/nipples.

The plastic piece on the back where they cross was not flexible.

The cam locking plastic buckles did not adequately grasp thin materials.

Stretch suspenders are a must-have for skiing & snowboarding, because you move & bend a lot. Plus ski pants are not heavy. REI stores now stock the similar "Chums" brand stretch suspenders, which are very good for skiing.

                                      Comments about Chisco Heavy-Duty Suspenders:

I use these suspenders for my motorcycling gear. They're fairly comfortable, but I wish they weren't made of stretch webbing. MC gear is heavy and non-stretch material would be better.

The reason I said these are just "okay" is that the clips seem to have a hard time finding the right thickness of material to grab.

I didn't want flashy colors, so black is good. Believe it or not, finding decent suspenders isn't that easy.

                                      Comments about Chisco Heavy-Duty Suspenders:

I've had mixed luck with these suspender. There are two issues. First the plastic X thing on the back slides around too much. I did correct this by putting a safety pin in the suspender below the plastic piece. But the other issue is that the attachment points don't work that well. I use these for cycling and skiing and often after about 1 hour I find that at least one attachment point has come off. I haven't found any better options yet but I'm not sure these are worth the [$] given the hassle of regularly reattaching.
