      I picked these up for my G-12's because they didn't have any conventional crampon bags instock at the store. The fit wasn't too bad but they broke after one use. Even if they hadn't I probably would have taken them back anyway. Its definantly a pain taking off all the points and having to replace them all before stowing your crampons in your pack. As for saving weight these are suprisingly heavy I doubt their much lighter than a crampon bag and they certinally aren't worth the trouble.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

        Comments about Climb High Crampon Point Protectors:

        Perfect and economic backpack savers while carrying the crampons. These points essentially fit the Petzl 12 point crampons. The one thing to keep in mind is that the way the tip covers are oriented makes them best fit directionally (front-to-back).
