Comments about Nathan 3M Reflective Ankle Band:
I'm surprised at the many negative reviews here for these. Throughout the last decade I've probably owned over a dozen of these. They do what they are supposed to, are very reflective, and work well. I always end up losing them before they wear out -- the REI logo comes off, but I haven't had any problems with the velcro coming off as someone else was saying.
Every once in a while I end up getting a pants tie from another store, but I always go back to these. They are just a bit lighter weight and less dorky-looking, and the scotchbrite is very reflective at night.
As Ranger Nick noted, they are also easily re-purposed as an all-around velcro tie. I use mine to keep my biking gloves together when I'm off my bike. When I'm bike touring, I use these to hold my rain jacket and rain pants rolled up when they are packed away.

Comments about Nathan 3M Reflective Ankle Band:
I've been using several of these bands since 2008, and have been pretty well satisfied. They're suitable for keeping lightweight clothing (like my REI Sahara pants) out of your bike chain, but wont do as well at retaining heavy clothing such as denim. These bands tend to see as much use on my packs as on my bike because they easily attach to the many loops on my packs for better visibility to my hiking partners at night and make finding my way back to my pack easier.

Comments about Nathan 3M Reflective Ankle Band:
The velcro doesn't have the best grip. Stitch length is too long, may not hold up, after several uses may become weak or loose.Reflects as promised. Adjust to accomodate. Average product.CHEERS! Soly C.SolyCali[@]

Comments about Nathan 3M Reflective Ankle Band:
Notice the lack of stitching. You know the adhesive on the pack of stickit-notes? that is pretty much what they decided to rely on to keep the velcro attached to the band. It stays attached for about as long as you might expect.

Comments about Nathan 3M Reflective Ankle Band:
This product is so awesome. The only downside of it is that sometimes when i would flash my light on it when its completey dark in the room, at some angles you cant really see it reflecting off the light, but it works great though.
I love to use it on my dog as well, fits her neck just perfect without choking, except for my BIG dog, wont fit him at all, so ihad to buy extra velcro and sew it on, and it works.
It was also a bit too big for my wrist, but maybe thats just becuz my wrist is too small. So what i did, is i cut the velcro part shorter, and that works perfectly for me too.
I would definately recommend this to everyone!!!!!
