Change pedals often?

If you change pedals often or work on a wide variety of bikes, this wrench is indispensable. The long handle provides extra leverage for stubborn pedals. It's thinner than standard open end wrenches so it fits the flats on the pedal spindle better. It is reinforced for durability and is the pedal wrench of choice for many professional bike shops. It is a bit on the expensive side, but is a good value and will last a lifetime.

Unstuck unstuck-able peddles

Great solid tool. I had some pedals I needed to swap on a couple bikes and could not get them to budge. A regular crescent wrench just was too wide to fit, and the hex tool I had didn't have enough leverage. This tool is great, narrow enough to fit those pesky pedals and long enough handle that has a nice wide grip to break them loose. Now I make sure the pedals are greased, and all is good. I though I'd have to take the bike into the shop or use a blowtorch to get them off. Solid construction, I see why park tools are pretty standard in bike shops.

Bike pedal wrench

I had some pedals that were frozen to the cranks. Had not removed them in 15 years. The other pedal wrench and Allen wrench I had tried just didn't have the leverage this tool does. An hour of struggling was solved in 30 sec. with this tool.

Makes life Easy

Fits between the pedal and the crank arm when your wrench won't. It makes removing a pedal so easy. Also you can use it as a weapon.

Just buy it

I spent multiple hours trying to remove a stuck pedal with the old pedal wrench I had, WD40, cheater bars, etc. Turns out all I needed to do was just buy the right wrench. Had that stuck pedal off in one go.

Easy and Effective

I was surprised at how often I wanted to remove my Look or Frog pedals to use on other bikes but it was always a hassle with a conventional 15mm wrench or 5mm Allen wrench, not being able to get good leverage. The Park pedal wrench makes the task almost effortless with great leverage and secure grip around the spindle on the two sizes used in the industry. I only wish that I had it years ago. The only critical remark goes to pedals which cannot be gripped by this wrench, where you have to use an Allen wrench on the inside of those spindles.

Just Buy It

I struggled for hours trying to remove a stuck pedal with an old wrench. This sucker took it off in one try.

Great tool!

I was given a set of bike pedals for my birthday. I figured an adjustable wrench would work. Turned out the jaws were a bit too wide. Bought this Park Petal Wrench. Within 5 minutes my old petals were off and the new ones installed. Very good workmanship on the tool and it functioned perfectly.

Great if you're a pro

This wrench feels great in hand, and it's solidly built, and it does exactly what it claims to do. That said, you probably don't need one. I once bought a new pair of pedals and let the salesperson convince me to buy this. It works great, sure, but so does a plain open-end 15mm wrench. The PW-3 is skinnier, but even my slimmest pedals admit an ordinary wrench. The PW-3 lever arm is longer, but I've never had a pedal so tight I couldn't free it by hand -- and even if I someday encounter one, I've got plenty of junk which could be used to make a breaker bar, anyway. If you're replacing pedals more than once a day, or are independently wealthy, then buy a PW-3 and enjoy. For the rest of us, admire it in the shop, but save your money. This is a luxury, not a necessity.

Only The Right Tools Work

Think your dad's box of tools will work for changing pedals, not! This is the correct tool for doing this work. Bike pedals often have narrow surfaces that will not work with your dad's wrench set. Get the right to to do it right.
