    The REI Member Dividend

      In the interest of full disclosure, I have not actually needed to buy the replacement glass -- the original is still going strong -- but just to know it's available is a great thing -- thank you REI. I have the REI candle lantern and it is one of my favorite pieces of gear. As many users have noted, some wax does drip on the glass, as it does on the aluminum parts... but you just need to run the parts under hot tap water (or camp-stove-heater water) and it cleans right up, brand new. I have used this lantern in the Shennandoahs, the French Alps and Pyrenees, Oman, Jordan and my terrace in Qatar where I live now, and it is a great companion.
