Comments about MSR BlackLite Classic Cookset:
I have used the product almost continually as my home cookset, and camping cookset for nearly two years. Easy to clean and maintain as long as you use plastic cookwear just like all nonstick surfaces. Transfers heat better than the titanium set I own. Doesn't pack well with my dragonfly stove, but should pack a whisperlite or simmerlite without a problem. The handle is odd to clean, but I don't worry about it but once every six months at home. Far far easier to maintain than any other cookset I have owned, heats fast, right sized pots for cooking for up to 5 people, and perfect for 2 or 3. The only other choice in my eyes is a titanium set with a pan scraper, but I use more fuel with my titanium set than I do with this one.

Comments about MSR BlackLite Classic Cookset:
We've had 2 sets of these and in both cases the non-stick lining has flaked off. We cook under low heat, use only plastic silverware, and wash only using a soft cloth, not a scrub pad. Lesser complaint: it dents easily.

Comments about MSR BlackLite Classic Cookset:
I've had this set for a few years, but quit using it two or three years back. It's a decent set when new , but the nonstick coating came off VERY early in it's life. At first I put the blame on myself and thought maybe I hadn't been careful with the set (though was always conscious of using just plastic utensils with it...), but after reading the other reviews it appears as if it's a product flaw. In hindsight I'd prefer this set to have one pot and a frying pan instead of two pots as well.

Comments about MSR BlackLite Classic Cookset:
This set is great if you are cooking for more than one person, like 2 adults & 2 kids. If all you are doing is boiling water, go with something else, but if you are going to really cook this set works great (I also have the fry pan). We have cooked, eggs, biscuts, pan cakes and even pizza dough with out burning, I haven't had the same luck with titanium yet.
They clean up easily (as long as the teflon lasts). Like all teflon, it will start to come off after a few years. It get real bad around the edges where we grab it with the pan holder.
When it is just my husband and myself, we just use the smaller pan or the fry pan for cooking and lighter titamium for water and liquids.

Comments about MSR BlackLite Classic Cookset:
The cookset itself is a great set, its transfers heat evenly and the bottom has nice grooves along it so it dosnt slip on the stove. rounded bottom for easy cleaning.
The downside is that for backpacking its too bulky to me, but if your fine with that then it shouldnt be a problem
the REAL problem for me is that the non-stick coating started bubbling up and coming off within the first few times of using it, just boiling water! After it would bubble up it would easily start to peel once you would try and clean it.
This is a big problem for me, I dont really use it anymore because it started to peel off, it isnt anodized into the pot itself so once it starts to peel the rest starts to peel soon after.
conclusion: the pot itself is awsome, well made, well thought out. but the non-stick coating just plain stinks.

Comments about MSR BlackLite Classic Cookset:
These pots were great at first, and although I was very carefull with these (used plastic utensils, washed with soft cloth, padded during transport) the non-stick coating bubbled and flaked off, making them unusable. I switched to titanium, which has proved durable and lighter.

Comments about MSR BlackLite Classic Cookset:
I have used this set for my last three trips into the back country and it has exceeded my expectations. It is not the lightest kit, but at just over a pound it is very light. For less than half the price of a comparable titanium kit, this was a no brainer for me. The wash cloth that it comes with is very handy too!

Comments about MSR BlackLite Classic Cookset:
I bought this cookset to complement my MSR DragonFly stove, and it works great. I only use the larger pot and leave the smaller one at home. I imagine if I go car camping or something I might use both. It would be great if you could save some money and buy just one pot or another, but I'm not complaining. It's hard to beat for an aluminum cookset with a nonstick surface, small packtowel (washcloth size), and pot gripper...all for [$]. I can pack my DragonFly stove, the panhandler, packtowel cloth, spork, and my stove repair kit all in the large pot. The stuffsack works great too, it is sized perfectly to keep the lid from coming off the pot during travel and storage, and keeps all the contents inside. I really do not think it takes up any more volume than a Jetboil PCS or GCS, even if it does, I'd gladly give up the difference for the added versatility.

Comments about MSR BlackLite Classic Cookset:
This cook set is perfect for the two person backpack party and quite serviceable for larger parties also. I eat right out of the pots which allows me to leave the plates at home and the nonstick surface makes clean up a breeze. The pot handle also works great for any canned good that needs to be warmed up on the fire like beans.
