Scratched my new goggles up bad!
Carefully following the directions on the label, I applied a small amount using my clean finger to the inside of all three of my new lenses for my Smith I/OS'. I then used a clean chamois to buff the lenses. It left many tiny circular scratches all over the lenses. Some were larger than others and noticeable when I have them on, and will certainly be noticeable in the sun. I have used Cat Crud (apparently you can't say the real name of this product in an REI review because it's profane?) on my Oakley A-Frame lenses and never had a problem like this. I would definitely not recommend this product.
The cat has cr@pped!
I've used this product for a few years and it seems that as my ski-goggles got older the Cat Cr#p didn't do anything or as much. I figure it was more the goggles having the factory application still intact than it was the Cat Cr#p that was keeping the fog away. I just applied a fresh coat went out skiing and between the snowy conditions and sweating I was all fogged up on the lift or while standing until the moving air cleared me up down the slope. Happened last season in the same conditions. I wouldn't say it doesn't work, but it isn't what the consumer desires.
love this for snorkeling!
After trying everything under the sun to keep my snorkel mask from fogging up (spit, gels, drops, sprays) [...] CatCrap would do the trick. It's AMAZING - better by FAR than any other product I have used. A foggy mask really ruins snorkeling, and this product works for me for hours as compared to a few minutes for other products. I carry it on the plane with my valuables when we travel so it won't get lost if my luggage does!
Does not work with face masks and glasses
I bought this based upon forum discussions on face masks or balaclavas and wearing glasses. It is common for people wearing glasses to experience fogging when where balaclavas covering the mouth and nose. This product did not work in this situation. But it is also to note that that maybe outside the intention of the product. It may work great for users that wear goggles, scuba goggles, etc.
Worthless
Doesn't work, don't waste your money. Applied a couple different times, still didn't work.
This Poo really works!!
Cat Poo [...] keeps goggles from fogging, period. It is a slight bother to apply/wipe off. If they could make spray-on type (Cat Pee?) that would be more convenient.
Marginally effective
I purchased this to reduce the fogging and water retention of my cycling glasses. I'd guess that it provided about a 10% decrease in said issues. Disappointed.
Great for Motorcycles!!!
This is the only thing I have found that really works for motorcycle helmets and sunglasses. It's awesome for the winter cold. I have all my friends using it now. :))
Cat [*] Works
You don't need to use this very often unless you work in a sauna, but it does its job when you need it to.
