Falls apart

Comments about REI Dry One Polypro Liner Socks:

These socks are basically a fine mesh. The material is synthetic and does not absorb water. However, the fabric is woven together is such a way that the most minor of abrasions causes the material to "run." If even ONE of the threads comprising the mesh it torn, the entire sock is destroyed almost instantly. Because the fabric is so thin, stitching the hole back together creates an uncomfortable bump. Maybe some of the other wicking socks work better. These are the cheapest, and I guess that's why. But still [$]for a pair of socks!?!?! They should at least not fall apart!!
